The only way to improve is to take your camera with you always and shoot each day or as often in a week as possible.

I’m always shooting–always have a different camera in my hands–of course working for a major camera company I make sure I’m always trying different cameras…
at the park on the weekends, around the yard, when it snows or rains..
shooting is fun and I’m constantly looking for different things to photograph

It actually varies a lot... sometimes actually daily for a period of time.... then get over 'saturated' and have to take a break for awhile and spend quite a bit of time relooking at images and processing.
