He helps win just ONE World Series for the Tigers and its worth the money.

It was insane that analysts thought the deal might not get done. Of course it came down to balking at the price. The rhetoric of not being able to commit to such a lengthy contract was used by multiple teams interested because, from the public's perspective, it's such a gross price to pay for an offensive piece. But the ownership of these teams (the same people who would claim to be generating mediocre profits) has never really flinched at those numbers. They recklessly do what they need to to secure playoff opportunities, or they just make themselves look dumb or a lot poorer in the effort. Good batting wilts in the face of good pitching, it is known.

He's worth whatever somebody is willing to pay. Whatever the reasons are, and I can only think of two, he got what he wanted. The two reasons by the way are ego and greed. The same applies for both parties!

No player on earth is worth that kind of money playing a sport and I don't care who you name. However, based on what Puljos got at an advanced age and Fielder's production he is worth a ton so if an owner is dumb enough to pay it good for Prince!
