This is tough for me - I choose much more vibrant colors for sock knitting than garment knitting. So, my poll choice is "vibrant" for socks, but it'd be "jewel box" or "earthy tones" for garments.

I like a lot of those equally well, depending--except the moody (I read that as darkened with black mostly, like the 80s faded rose and williamsburg bluel--bleh!) or the more 'jewel-like' navy and burgundy combo from back then. I don't like colder palates in general, or not alone. Don't care for hunter green. Earths, brights, and neutrals are my top three. I can't believe neutrals didn't get more love! I like a rich brown a lot. While I'm blonde, I find black too harsh anymore, esp as I've aged--I do browns much more often than black, for a dark neutral. I probably use neutrals a lot to tone brights. I love a rich red with a nice tan, for example.
If I had to restrict myself to like three or four colors to knit with the rest of my life, it's be my beloved lime, bright orange, a rich red, and a beautiful semisolid gray. I actually use it so much, I tend to use a medium-deep, semisolid red as a neutral, or certainly a classic color.
The moody can be ok if it's mixed in with other brights, but I don't like colors darkened with black as solids or semis much. The colors I really hate are rose/mauve/faded blue in combo--ugh! I don't like baby colors ie pink and blue together and I esp don't like them toned with black.
Gosh, don't get me started on color--I love the subject! :-)

I choose the "I hate all colors" option. Not to be subversive, but because I actually like all colors (fairly) equally!
I love to knit, and I knit a lot of socks. I'm becoming more aware that the ones I reach for are nearly always the same--I love semisolid colorways because I feel like the stitch patterns really shine. I love grays and blacks with little splashes of color because that's what goes with my work clothes most of the time. I love knitting with handpainted yarns with tons of colors, but they don't fit into my wardrobe as easily.

I knit mostly socks and accessories: scarves, hats, etc. so I usually pick vibrant hues.

I voted jewel box because I am drawn to all of those colors. If not for lime and yellow (which I like in small doses), I might have voted for vibrant instead. But my preferences may change with the seasons. I'm drawn to earthy/woodsy tones in autumn (and when knitting for my husband) and to muted shades in summer. While I like neutrals (e.g., I loved Winter Birch), I wouldn't want a steady diet of neutrals for knitting; I wear a lot of neutrals, often paired with jewel or vibrant tones. Now that I've said that, I'm wondering whether my preferences in yarn are based on what I knit. I haven't much knitting time, so I work on smaller projects (accemt pieces, in jewel or vibrant tones).

I love the out doors so natural colors are what I love. I have especially loved your yarn dyed to match things in nature, Bald Eagle, the Royal collection ,oh my the colored sky one is magnificent , the list does go on. Thanks for your amazing eye for color and the talent to bring it to the yarn.

I picked jewel tones as my favorites. These are the colors that perk me up and make me want to knit all day. I do knit with other colors and do enjoy those too, but when I need simple joy I pull out the jewel tones. Added bonus - they look great on ME!

I wish you would have included "all colors". I like all colors, it really depends on what and who I'm knitting for. This why I love knitting, color and texture in one marvelous place.

I picked vibrant but honestly I love earth tones just as much. I don't really care for muted ever but neutrals can be lovely when they're interestingly dyed.

Oh this is a hard one. I really live both vibrant colors and earthtones almost equally. I don't love pastels but enjoy all the other colors.

I picked vibrant hues because it is a sunny morning in L.A. and that just seemed right. I also love jewel tones. The color that I abhor is BROWN! I don't like beige, either. I do love grays!

I voted jewel box, but I adore vibrant hues as well and dip into the other palettes mentioned depending on the day as well. currently working in silk hankies in jewel tones

I tend to unconsciously gravitate to earth tones particularly woodsy, greens, browns, orange, and lots of lakeland blues and aquas. If I were to go through my stash it would be heavily weighted on the the fall color side. As a sidenote, my husband is drawn towards pastel yellows and blues which I find odd but completely charming. He's a great companion when shopping for baby project yarn, not so much for other projects!

Just want to say that I do NOT like knitting with earth tone colors. This is likely because they look terrible on me.
Also, WHY do you have to paint your dining room ??? I could have sworn that you said that it's painted.....

I picked Jewel Tones because those are the colors I'm most likely to wear because they look the best on me. I'm ALWAYS drawn to Jewel tones :) I also love earthy tones, but with the exception of chocolate brown, I usually can't rock those colors near my face. All that being said, I love a good grey, too! Super helpful, I'm sure ;)

I picked earthy tones but could have chosen anything but vibrant - I give those to my daughter who is great at choosing what colors go together.

It was super hard to choose, because it depends on what I'm making, who it's for, and what mood I'm in...but jewel tones are a personal fave when I'm knitting for me :)

I wanted to pick them ALL!!! I had the hardest time deciding between the muted and the vibrant. I went vibrant, but I'm equally happy with muted. And earthy. And jewel. And neutral. Aw, heck, maybe I'll just be subversive. :)

I am all about the vibrant blues, the jewels, the browns, etc, but sometimes you like that variety (not all the time, but having that choice to pull out a cream, with a muted blue or a pink). Of course, I used to say I didn't like orange and I am finding a gradual move toward this color. Whoknew?

Well, I love gorgeous teals, purples, the bright, beautiful and deep - however, I have a deep love and appreciation for tweeds, and varigated greysand browns as well. The only thing I am not such a fan of is pastels. They are just not for me.

Well, I picked earth tones both here and on Facebook. They are what I am most drawn to and comfortable with. BUT. I want to broaden my horizons! I love jewel tones and vibrant colors, really love turquoise. I just haven't worn it yet. So, dye away.. I will buy it. :-)))

Love the jewel tones but I also equally love the vibrant tones. Probably 65% of my stash is handpainted yarns in mixed colorways.
