These practices are not illegal nor should they be. Just don't give them money.

hey, i was banned again. and all i do has been reading, but like the others it says upgrade to remove the ban. dang site is retarded and stupid if you ask me and i say someone needs to report them to the BBB plus recreate another godlike productions and then just simply take their memebers and maybe they would then quit doing this banning for no damn reason

The exact same thing happened to me.
I signed up, never got to post, and was immediately banned.
I felt like something was up when I got their response and goggled and found this.
Their trick won´t be working on me
Thanks for posting. This is despicable, not "godlike" at all.

After getting this same message yesterday, about my IP getting banned, I assumed it was because of my ISP, and the so called "attacks" they mentioned as a reason for banning entire ISP's. Heck, I even felt a little sorry for GLP.com for having to go through a process like that and possibly annoying and/or alienating many many new, and old for that matter, users of their website. Man, how I was taken by this company. I feel very, VERY betrayed by a website that I never did anything to get banned from. I'd only been on this site a few times in the first place, so I assumed that it had to have been an entire ISP ban that I was somehow a victim of.

So I filled out the "Unban Request Form" that they supply you with, and I started to go on about how I've only been on the site a couple of times, and that I though it was because of my ISP somehow, and blah blah blah...etc. I was being very polite, and very understanding with them. Almost sympathetic even. Only to get the same reply as you guys got. So now, in hindsight, to find out that it didn't even matter what I wrote in my "Unban Request", that I was NOT going to get un-banned in any way, unless I followed their "Account Upgrade" process, which I now know comes at a cost, makes me furious at these clowns.

How could a so called "Conspiracy Exposing" website go through with such a low down, despicable business practice, just to make a few bucks from unwitting new users? I would go as far as to label this process itself a conspiracy. It's a conspiracy to make money from people who believe what they are saying about bans, and so called "attacks" they were getting, in my honest opinion. What a bunch of HYPOCRITES! Period.

I sincerely hope that after trying to do something like this to innocent internet customers, that this entire website goes out of business! I don't feel like that's too harsh at all either. I realize there are innocent employees that work for this website who would have never gone along with something like this had they had their own opinion on this matter at all. But I'm betting that those few IT professionals who still have some integrity, will find employment with another IT company or website somewhere, that is actually going somewhere and preparing for the future of their company without resorting to underhanded schemes like the one GLP.com is trying to pass under the radar.

Anyways, that's all I want to say about this at this time. They've lost me as a potential customer, which I realize now they could not care less about, and I hope they lose the rest of their client base as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully their loyal clients will "wise up" to GLP's underhanded nature before the company turns on them next for a quick pay day! From now on, I'm going to be a CommonSenseConspiracy.com user and fan (if only for the simple fact they exposed this despicable scam by GLP. Ha ha!).

    Sincerely,
    Andre
