I live near ford test track, wed night i was curious and went listening for it, I could hear a rumble in the distance which I believe is this mysterious hum you're all talking about... I can't hear it inside, luckily. It definitely sounds very mechanical in nature. Thursday night it I struggled to listen, thought I heard it a few times but for the most part nothing. Hopefully it was quieter for those who live closer.
The poll should be have you heard the hum, and let the comments be ppl discussing if the think it's all hogwash or not...
Sleep well my south Windsor friends

My kids and I can hear it very well at night and it's causing my son to be afraid to sleep by himself and it wakes my 1 year old daughter from her sleep. It sounds like a freight train running through our back yard! it's causing me a lot of stress, and my kids are getting crankier from sleepless nights. Something needs to be done about this noise and not today but yesterday! I live in Central Windsor by Central and Plymouth and the noise it very loud here. Please do SOMETHING!!!!

We moved to a nice area of Lasalle almost 2 years ag0. When we 1st moved in, it was quiet with
an occasional rumble, now it is almost a constant occurance. We heard a long closed steel mill
(closed after 9/11) recently reopened, almost the same time all this NOISE started up. With the devistation of the west side of Windsor with the taking down so many trees making room for a bridge that might be built in my lifetime I feel the government owes the residents of Lasalle and beyond the curtosity of looking into this noise matter and letting us go on with our lives in a peaceful normal way.........

"Believe"? We're not talking about "faith" here. Are we asking people whether or not they think the "Hum" is real? Are you joking? Over 800 residents on a facebook group and international media attention and stories about the noise pollution coming from Zug Island and it is consistently been heard for over a year and we have to ask "Do you believe" in the Windsor Hum? The real question should be "Do you think the issue will ever be resolved?"

    Come on Federal Government....
Minister of International Cooperation - Beverley J. Oda
Minister of State of Foreign Affairs (Americas and Consular Affairs) - Diane Ablonczy
Minister of Foreign Affairs - Hrn. John Baird

SURELY CANADA AND HER CITIZENS HAVE NOT LOST THEIR RIGHTS AND INFLUENCE ON THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE....... ENGAGE U.S. STEEL!!!!

Who wrote/designed this poll? A 5 year old?

  • B. Fletcher - 12 years ago

I work on the Detroit side of the river just a few hundred yards from Zug Island and it definitely exists. It is horrible !!!

To suggest the Hum is fictitious misses the point. It has been heard by hundreds of residents and government officials. However, not everyone is disturbed by it.

Why is this even a poll? Of course it exists... It's obviously there, it is some industrial process on Zug island.

    ??????
A Poll - called "Do You 'Believe' in the Windsor Hum?"
    I don't understand.
This is something that has been identified and is affecting so many of our lives.
