It should be the beatles, they actually WROTE their own songs.......they didn't steal all of them... Ps: Chuck Berry is a million times better than Elvis.....

It's got to be Elvis! He is the one who started it all. I do like the Beatles, but Elvis is after all the King of Rock & roll. So entertaining in so many different ways. Accomplished so much in such a short life. Long may his memory live on! You are the greatest one!

Based on your playlist and the fact that Sunday mornings are devoted to the Beatles, it's obvious the Beatles are numero uno. If K-RTH believed that Elvis was truly number one, then it would play more Elvis songs. The results of your playlist tell all!!!!

Elvis paved the way of Rock n Roll! He's the king! Not saying the Beatles are bad either, just too overplayed for my liking.

The least that can be done is better check the spelling of the Beatles, gosh!

I don't see how there is a poll! Elvis Presley with 21 years of hits, movies with lovely girls, & who is the other contestant? Oh, ya, The Beatles. There is just no comparison! The Beatles had many great songs, but 50,000,000 Elvis fans can't be wrong! The Beatles quickly split up & all four had solo hits, but none of them was as popular with the girls as the king of rock 'n' roll! Elvis was a great looking man with so much charisma! The girls liked the Beatles for a while, but, they couldn't hang in the long run at all. Elvis far and away #1! 'Nuff said! (Howie!)

My mom introduced me to Elvis as a young child and now at 45 I'm still a fan. After returning from Graceland and celebrating Elvis' birthday in Memphis I was totally disappointed that K-Earth doesn't play enough of Elvis. You got to tune into Sirius. You got to be kidding me. Come on K-Earth what's going on? Elvis is the King of Rock n' Roll. Elvis has so many awesome songs that deserve to be played and introduced to current and new listeners. Before there was Elvis there was nothing.

"Before Elvis, there was nothing." - John Lennon

So, yes, Elvis IS #1. And I agree, K-Earth should play more Elvis, more variety period. I can tell time by what Beatles or Michael Jackson song is playing... And we want to hear MORE ANTONIO too!!

If Elvis wins this poll, you need to play more Elvis on your playlist. I can think of about 4 Elvis songs that you play, compared to dozens of Beatle songs. My vote is for the Beatles, the greatest band ever, but I am ok with Elvis as long as you play more of his songs

I was not a big fan of Elvis growing up. But based on longevity, it has to be Elvis. The Beatles only lasted less than 10 years. They formed up in 1962, came to the U.S. in February 1964, but their last major concert was in San Francisco in 1966, and they broke up in 1970. YES, they were incredibly prodigious in their music production during that time frame and they greatly influenced the music of the 1960’s.

However, Elvis started before them, left to go into the military, got out and restarted his career with movies, kind of died out again, then came back with a total reinvention of himself with his famous TV special of 1968. That then lead to his stage performances.

No, it has to be Elvis as number 1.

I vote for the Beatles (not the Bealtes like you put on the website). But I still remember as a kid my parents telling me that both of them were part of a communist conspiracy to corrupt the youth of America. My parents didn't like the way Elvis swiveled his hips. And of course my parents thought the Beatles were dirty hippies because of their long hair.

I prefer the Beatles to Elvis. But either one could be number 1. How about ranking both #1.

Long live the King and long live the Beatles.

elvis brought the black music (rock and roll) to the white people. If it had not been for him, the Bettles and all other rock and roll groups would be singing like Doris Day and other singers of the era. Please learn the history of rock and roll and give the creators their due. This encludes the black spirtuals and Elvis for intorducing this art form to the world.

I didn't appreciate either when I was younger. Both Elvis and The Beatles re-made ('covered') songs that were first recorded by other artists. However, Elvis music and style was what the Beatles came along to try to imitate. I agree, the station should play more of Elvis and I admit, when you have those Saturday Beatle specials, I don't listen. There are a few Beatle songs that I like, and even fewer of Elvis songs.. but... Elvis was first and started the soul movement that crossed all racial and social lines.

Elvis has to be it! I have been around for both beginnings! Elvis is number one!! YOu need to have an all Elvis weekend, too. I think some of your fans don't know some of the greatest Elvis songs! You play, "Suspicios Minds" a lot. He had so many more great songs, especially when he first started out, before voice lessons! He of course has great Christmas songs, too.

    Elvis, number one!!

If you PLAYED A LOT MORE ELVIS and quite a bit LESS Beatles you would have a better station.

  • Maria - 12 years ago

ELVIS!! better looking than all the Beatles put together and had better moves..... He started the movement.... and the Beatles jumped on the band wagon....

  • Kathie - 12 years ago

Elvis is WHO - the King of Rock & Roll. He has to be #1.
The Beatles are great - but have to be #2

  • Nina - 12 years ago

I think that your audience is now younger than in the past and the vote wouldn't be fare to Elvis fans but "come on" Elvis was rock & roll, he was it, right after rockabilly he had the rock & roll sound, look, talent, etc. etc. Even the Beatles said "he was it" back in the day. ELVIS was and is the King!!!!!!!!!
