Yep, agreed as for all the above comments. It's rediculous. Because Simon put a specific expectation on the ratings which weren't bad mind you just not as high as they were suppose to be for what he proclaimed Paula Abdul has to suffer for it. I mean the show went well, for the first season of it of course they weren't gonna be #1 in ratings. That takes time. And wanting change to better the show is understandable too. But why change things that make no sense to change. Such as Paula. Nicole was loveable but I could understand where she went wrong with the Rachel situation. Steve Jones rushed the show as if they never had time for anything and I don't know about anyone else but that guy scared the crap out of me lol. It was good that they kept L.A. Reid, he's good for the show but dispite the somewhat mean streak he's really not to far off from being like Simon. And the show needs a healthy balance. Hence, Paula Abdul. She really was a necessity to the show. I'm another one who won't be watching until I see her on the judges' panel. You know what I think? Instead of firing Paula Abdul whoever it is at FOX making these 'adjustments' should be. TEAM PAULA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What Simon Cowell did to Paula Abdul was unspeakable! You can rest assure that I will not be watching X-Factor anymore - What goes around comes around - I just hope that Simon Cowell gets his own very quickly and I hope he remembers what he did to Paula - sweet, loveable, kind hearted, and beautiful soul that she is.

Well, i'm offcially the most depressed human being on the face of the plaent. Thank you Simon Cowell, or FOX.. WHOEVER decided to fire Paula. I've lost respect for them. If it's true that they fired her because they thought she was too 'soft' to the contestants, that's ridiculous. They all know that Paula's human nature from the start, from season 1 of American Idol, that, that's just how she is. She's a caring person who doesn't like to upset people, because she actually has a heart. Paula was the ONE judge who cared so deeply for the contestants- She invested her full schedule to mentor them and be with them. it's not her fault that her category was booted out of the competition so early. I'm sure if Simon, or even if L.A Reid got the groups, they wouldn't have lasted as long as Paula did. They just can't give her a break, can they? I hope they know that their idea of 'BIG improvements' on the show, is just going to give them a BIG flop in the ratings- BIG mistake on their part. Half of the viewers were Paula/Saula fans.. so they shouldn't be surprised when they see that the outcome that they wanted will be the farthest thing from it. Paula and Simon are a team, they have been since Idol, they are partners.. and FOX pretty much ruined that. Thanks a lot. You've lost viewers before Season 2 even started. Congratulations, hope this is what you were going for.

this is a big mistake paula is the heart of the show, she is amaizing and she did an excelent job with the groups, Simon really dissapointed me she has to comeback. I will stop watching XFactor if she's gone, simon and paula are incredebly togeter if they are not togeter the show is over

I was excited when I found out Simon fired Steve Jones, indifferent when I found out about Nicole, and now extremely disappointed to hear about Paula. I hope Simon has some grand judges up his sleeve for replacements...otherwise I'm going to stop watching this show just like I stopped watching American Idol. The Voice will be the only singing reality show worth watching, I guess.

Of course it was a huge mistake. I still don't understand why. She was a great mentor and judge and both of them have a great chemistry and friendship. Simon really dissapointed me and many othrs. This show is over!!

As annoying as Puala Abdul could be with her crying and her meaningless(sometimes) comments, she and Simon made a nice pair. I think he should get her back.
