Should smoking in cars with children be banned in Ohio?

I am a non-smoker and will agree that smoking in your vehicle with your kids is something you shouldn't be doing. But, it IS NOT the place of government to infringe on your right to smoke in your PERSONAL car. Your personal vehicle IS NOT a public place no more than your home is. And for those of you that think this is a wonderful idea, just wait, that is the "foot in the door" for them to begin regulating what goes on in your home.

We live in the United States and it seems like the Government local and state are more worried about peoples personal business than the running of our country... Really I believe that there are more important matters regarding our Country and States that they should be concerned with. Honestly I believe this would be another way for them to spend our tax dollars, or should I say "waste them"!

State of Ohio, stay the hell out of my business! work on things that matter, like creating jobs instead of taking our rights away!

I see parents doing this all the time with windows down or sometimes not. It is disgusting. Poor kids can't get away from their stupid parents, it's not their fault. Having grown up in a dual smoking household I know how mortifying it is to smell like smoke and deal with the health factors of second hand smoke. This should be common sense ...

I say, yes, ban it... i have never smoked around my children, and it flat out ticks me off when i see parents killing their children with cigarette smoke. I mean, "come on now" children have no choice and they are unable to understand the side-effects to second hand smoke, so we as parents need to make the decision for them. I know that it seems to be an invasion of our rights, but just remember, not every parent is a responsible parent, but "every" child deserves a chance at a long healthy life.

I am torn between this and the reson being is it is someones right to smoke in their car since it is a public place, but then again no one should smoke around their children to begin with and especially in a car. Second hand smoke is worse then someone that smokes. I use to be an ex-smoker and I do know some smokers are not respectful of others around them.

Yes they should ban smoking! The amount of asthma in children has skyrocketed!! If you want to kill yourself that's one thing, but innocent children? I grew up around smoke and was a smoker for way too many years. Thank heavens, I quit! Now I am taking care of others who can't...
