Is it beneficial for women's soccer for Alex Morgan to appear in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue?

I do like to sound off on this ET radio podcast that i will listen

I did hear about the Morgan bodypaint thing..... This is a double-edge sword because she is a rising player but also a role model for younger girls. She does have the right to express herself, but the thing is she has been bombarded w/ "proposals" and everytime I look at her official FaceBook page i just laugh out at all the fools who propose to her! Most likely she MIGHT have dedicated her bodypaint shoot to her boyfriend (not cool... if she didn't dedicate the shoot to her sweetheart)

There's absolutely no chance that this girl will ever be single(I'd be in shock if that occured to the point **I'll post a bet on the next Giants/Patriots showdown) [**lol only joking]

The Issue is that she is to set an example to younger girls... something like this will create a great question for the next MISS USA pageant.. the other drawback is she is exploiting herself... I admire this athlete and us soccer fans can't afford to see her to be treated like some "piece of meat" She should've posed for "Shape" or Women's Health magazines and throw some workout tips instead.

SI Swimsuit should be targeting models and atheltes who target an older demographic. Morgan may have the attention of 18-24 yr old males but there are lots and lots of young girls as her fans. To those who bombard her with facebook proposals PLEASE STOP!!!! you are making an idiot of yourselves... the real guy who might propose to her later on is her boyfriend... Move on, this girl is so Mrs..[whoever her boyfriend's last name is] Hands DOWN.....

and as for Miss Morgan..... DON'T MARRY ME!! sorry gal my heart has no vacancy, I have plenty of celeb crushes (Kate Upton being one of them) but hey.... you are an awesome athlete and I wish you the best in London 2k12!!

Go Galaxy......... have a good day!!

This certainly raises Alex Morgan's profile, but doesn't help out Women's soccer. People look at the pictures, not the captions. Anybody who doesn't already know who she is won't care. And anybody who does know who she will be more reluctant to take their kids. No, technically it isn't scandalous, but that still comes to mind.

You're missing an option. It just doesn't matter one way or the other. It's irrelevant. It's not like it's Hustler..unfortunately ;)
