I didn't see an option for "I would immediately put that author on my do-not-read list", which is the closest I can think of. Honestly, if the response is something that there's a good chance was intended in a "funny" way, and not necessarily a put-down, I would be fine with it. I enjoy some snarkiness in my life. However, if it's a straight put-down, or the author is arguing back against a negative review, it's immediate "do-not-read/buy" with no second chances.

I voted "I wouldn't care...it doesn't have anything to do with the book " which I don't 100% believe but mostly believe. But I probably would not invite that author to speak at any of my functions.
