    Absolutely!!!!! As you can see my name is Italian thanks to my father. I’ve had people tell me my whole life that I have a beautiful name.

    I also love Italian names, I’m part Italian on my father’s side. My grandparents are from Trentino in northern Italy. My three grandchildren are named Dominic, Giannna and Natalia.

    My daughters middle name is my maiden name. “Galiano”

    The poll failed to include an option for having actually GIVEN one's child an Italian name already. My son is Vinicio. Maria Adamo, was that a typo? I hope you spelled your son's name correctly.

    If the children took the fathers last name in Italy, my last name would be BALITORRI . Sounds stronger. I did give my son a Italian name.. GUISEPPE GIOVANNI DEPIETRO... Named after my father my brother my sons father and grandfather.. WE RULE...

    I named my daughter, Vittoria, after my maternal grandmother, Vittoria Cucchi Olivieri, from a small village called Pieve Palega somewhere near Modena, Italy.

    I gave both my children Italian names my oldest was born in Vicenza, we named her for her great grandmother Giulia. My little boy was born here in California we named him Giacomo Luciano. I am not Italian my husband is part on his mothers side, we met in Italy thanks to the US Army, It has always been home to me. The Italian people are some of the kindest most gracious people in the world.

    I love Italia so much I named my granddaughter Italia Maria because the year she was born the olympics were in Italy and there were many more great events for Italy that year...2006
