In Canada, and where I live on the West Coast, on Vancouver Island, we are so fortunate to be able to buy produce, meat, animal feeds that come from soil that is absolutely free from pesticides. In the case of dairy products, Canada's regulations and testing procedures strictly prohibit use of pesticides, antibiotics, and added hormones. There are a number of countries with similar standards. So we are fortunate that our organic food industry and our entire dairy industry is tightly regulated and tested constantly so that home-grown organic and dairy here in this country are pret' darned safe. That came about because of citizens demanding these safety standards.
