How could you want to keep Romo. I am a die-hard Dallas fan through thick and thin. But to keep Romo is like saying we never want to go to a Super Bowl game again. He chokes in the red zone, cracks under pressure when he gets out of the pocket, and basically doesn't produce in clutch situations. And you see him getting better, where?. If he's not there now he's not going to get there anytime soon. PLEASE TRADE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!. Anyone is better than keeping him through a another season of trying to defend him. Than you blaming it on the recievers, or defense.

Been a cowboy fan since the ice bowl. Grew up in the Dallas area. Cowboy fan for life, BUT, I will not invest myself emotionally or financially until Jones hires a real GM. It is his right to do it his way, but there are a lot of people more qualified to hold the position than he is and only some of those are successful. He is a narcissistic rich man that is a Cowboys fan that owns the team and will do it his way; to the deficit of the fans and the teams legacy. I will follow them, I will cheer for them, but I won't sweat their losses or buy the gear anymore.

Jerry Jones is a BIG FAT LIAR. Romo is a totall failure and short to survive in this league. He is about the last QB in the league that I would want and I live in WI his home state. He sucks and so does Dallas. He hasnt won anything and never will! Mark my words! Again, HE SUCKS!!!!

JD i think you are the one who doesn't understand. Still comparing Romo to Eli? The question is would you take Romo over a couple of rookies, not a two time super bowl mvp. You say "the only factor Eli has is his defense", funny it wasn't Eli's defense who took his team down the field in the 4th quarter of the super bowl , pretty sure he was 5-6, including a 40 yard dart to Manningham from his own 12 yard line.

Then you say "Swap the Giants and Cowboys defenses from last year and I can almost gaurantee that the Cowboys are in there with the rest. Compare Tony's stats since he has been starting and he is in the top 3 or 4 in every catergory". Remember; if Romo doesn't overthrow Miles by 20 feet in the 4th quarter, the Cowboys end the Giants season before that playoff run even happens. Stop looking at his stats and look at how he performs when the game is on the line. Romo is a nice player and i think he has the ability to win, but for some reason he comes up short when it matters most.

What it boils down to, Romo does not have the mental capabilty to think on his feet, Time again and again, he has proven when his forced to think, he gives the game away. How many games did he cost the Cowboys the past season because he could not think, I can count aleast 3 games. Now I am reading he is putting golf before football. Jones needs to get some different roses to smell, apparently the ones he has have whilted.

i can't help but agree with j.d., dave and mac...give him an offensive line and pay for some elite defensive secondary and voila, superbowl....hopefully before he becomes too old and beat up like Troy Aikman

Wow it's funny how people are quick to judge Tony. This guy has done nothing but give the Cowboys a chance to win every game. You talk about Eli having the "IT" factor? The only factor Eli has is his "Defense". Swap the Giants and Cowboys defenses from last year and I can almost gaurantee that the Cowboys are in there with the rest. Compare Tony's stats since he has been starting and he is in the top 3 or 4 in every catergory. We can go on and on about this but what's the point when most guys to really understand.

Romo is an elite QB. If he was on the Ravens or 49ers last year either of those teams would have made the Super Bowl. He simply needs a playmaking defense like the Niners or Ravens and this guy will take a team (Cowboys) to the Super Bowl. People need to watch him play or keep their unfounded criticisms to themselves - if the rest of the Cowboys played to his level they would have been 13 - 3 last year.

Romo has proved he can not get passed the 1st round of the playoff if he gets there at all. All the other teams have to do is to get him to think on his feet and he is done. He will throw the game away.I have been a Cowboy fan since 1979. Danny White got us the the Championship game 3 times but could not get to the superbowl. Romo can't get us to the second round. Its time for a trade. Cowboys belong in the superbowl, Jones needs new glasses.

Romo has been in the league since 2003 and a starter since 2006 replacing Bledsoe. Romo has had plenty of time to develop and has shown what he is, a good solid backup in the NFL. I am sure he is a nice guy but he does not have the "It" factor that an Eli Manning, Drew Brees or a Peyton Manning has. He is almost 32 and the time for the Dallas Cowboys to move on at QB has come. Unfortunately Dallas won't realize this and it is yet another sign of the incompetence in the Cowboys organization. The Romo experiment is over. Romo can go and play golf with enough financial resource to take care of he and his family very handsomely. I am happy for Tony, he got his shot when no one thought he would. I was one of those pulling for him. I still think he is a great guy. It's just time to move on for Tony as well. He is a great golfer. Looking forward to seeing him on the tour someday.
