Idc what they name the team... they still gonna be 1 of the NBA bottom feeders until we get a decent coach & hopefully draft Anthony Davis.

Michael Jordan and company go to press conference after press conference rubbing their heads in disbelief. After being a Bobcats season ticket holder, I have realized that the events there are still not what they use to be when the Hornets were in town. The city stood behind the Hornets and actually "bee"lieved the team represented Charlotte!

Bring the Hornets back. The Hornets are and forever will be the Charlotte Hornets to me!

Remember when the announcer would say, "The Hive is Alive" as Billy Idol's Mony Mony played as loud as possible over the speakers. Those are the sports memories that will live in my heart forever - I think it's time to give those types of memories to our children and to have a basketball team that truly represents the Carolinas.

Randy, Randy, Randy...you can tell by the way you spell BOBcats that your coming from a racial standpoint. I dont care that the bobcats are a minority owned team, you, the NBA, and ESPN have made sure we know that by now. Its about the pompous attitude that Bob Johnson had with total disregard of how to run a franchise before purchasing the team. The changing of the name back to the Hornets instills that they are going in a different direction than the previous ownership. Its ultimately not going to change the play or the players, but I do believe it will change the fans belief in the team. Show the fans that they matter Michael, do what Bob Johnson did NOT do...listen.

We'll obviously there is more to it than living in the past Randy, General Cornwallis was ravaging the Southern States in the revolutionary war and then after capturing Charlotte the citizens held an uprising and threw him out. He reported to his superiors that Charlotte was like a HORNETS net where the citizens started swarming when the HIVE was in trouble. Hating on a city without knowing the history.....hmmmm

Absolutely not. This is a new team with a new history. MJ should spend the money on anythimg more productive than "fair weather" fans. BOBcats do not need fans that will or will not support a team because of a name. The BOBcats are 16th in attendance with a rebuilding team (88% capacity). More casual fans will support the team when they become a playoff caliber team again. Just like they did when they had Wallace and Jackson. MJ should ignore the people who want a name change. They act like adults that want Christmas to mean the same to them as it did when they were children. Only in Charlotte would this be happening.

Up until now I thought they were in the past and we needed to let this go. At this point we are rebuilding and essentially rebranding the team. Why not bring the name back to the Queen City. The team is at an all time low, they are bringing in new/young/exciting players, and we are back to the point of being a expansion franchise player wise

The time is now. As much as Mike and the gang might want to act like this isn't a real thing that's really happening, the numbers don't lie.

    WE BEELIEVE.

    Hornets or bust.

If he does, then that will be the first good decision he's ever made.

BRING BACK THE BUZZ!!! Re-name the team to HORNETS!!

It depends. If MJ wants the city of Charlotte to support the basketball team, generate tons of merchandise sales and return the team to something relevant in the city then yes, he should rename them.

    Yes, without a doubt.
