I subscribe to local paper and so have access to their online at no extra charge. I also have access to 20 articles per month for NYTimes but they are too pricey. I find if I can see headlines or reporter, I can find the article in other places because someone has posted it outside the newspaper site. If I didn't have to put up with all of the ads, I might feel differently about paying. At least with an actual newspaper, I can easily avoid advertising. Also, the actual newspaper has a lot more info on jet about everything that the web site does not seem to have. Also, an online paper doers not seem to give satisfaction to a search for a specific article. Not sure why that is.
