I think cell phones should for sure be allowed in school and in class. No matter what anybody says though kids will still text away like they were allowed to. If a teacher takes away a students phone, the student is going to most likely not like that teacher anymore because of it, so to all the teachers that might be reading this, ......PLEASE let the kid text once and then tell them to please turn it off.... and NOT take it away! Its pretty much the only way they'll be totally liked and even get called a totally awesome teacher.... anyways.... thats why i think students should be able to have their phones in class .....and in school

No, because, as a teacher, I spend a lot of time, taking phones from students. Many think they should be allowed to text and listen to music, during school. Cells phones are good during an emergency, but many students don't turn them off, and keep them in their pockets.

Yes, they should be allowed, but in a crisis situation like Chardon. They need to be collected. If there are other students involved in the crisis, they can use their phones as a way of commicating with each other. You also do not want mass texting to parents that create a mad dash to the school interfering with rescue vechles.

All students should have access to their cell phones at all times in case of an emergency. But, should be turned off during class time. My thoughts are with the Chardon families, students and community. May God Bless All of You and Guide You Always.

My daughter who is a junior in high school, has had a phone since she was in 2nd grade. It's come in handy many, many times when teachers did not.
