I don't think that Desmond has a lead off hitter's mentality....better off in the 2 hole or 7 hole.

The problem is that there is no good leadoff candidate currently on the roster. I don't think he should be a leadoff hitter for anybody, but since we don't have one it might as well be him - for now.
I say give it time, because we know that this is an area Rizzo is trying to address.
Desmond could be a leadoff hitter...in Syracuse.
