Don't forget that the ezpass is linked to a credit card. There are people out there that can't or won't get a credit card.

Live in North Carolina. Drive up to PA three times a year and use the turnpike from Middlesex township I81 to Reading/Ephrata exit. Why would I want to buy an EZ pass?

We, too, have EZ Pass, but I think requiring it is such a bad idea. A lot of people don't have the $36 you need to put out for the transponder. Then there is the fact that it should be tied to a credit card. There are people out there who don't use, or even have, cards. Of course, there are also the people who travel the turnpike infrequently. It doesn't make sense for them to puchase a transponder either. And what happens to the jobs that having toll workers creates?

Would not bother me or be a problem for me, I have EZ Pass, and I would assume most regular travelers on the Turnpike also use EZ Pass. But a lot of people do not, and do not want to have it.
