HG all the way!!!!! Bella's a shame to all us women, and the most suesque mary-sue i've ever read about. What does she teach girls? To just sit there and wait for their Vampire Charming to come? To turn into zombies when their boyfriends leave them, and then jump off a cliff just for "fun"? To love some creepy dude that likes watching you sleep? Doesn't sound like a good role model to me. Katniss, that girl is made of pure awesomeness!!!! She doesn't need a man by her side to be somebody. Anyways, the stories can't be compared, they're completely different. I LOVE HG. I don't hate Twilight, i just hate Bella. And Edward . And Jacob. Well, looks like i DO hate Twilight :D

    Mai.
(PS: sorry for any mistakes, i'm from Argentina so english isn't my mother tongue)

    Twilight! Always and forever....Twilight!

  • Rez - 12 years ago

No need for comments. HG has as much fans as the one who don't give a damn, so I'd say Twilight owns it, as it has from the beginning :D

I love twilight! hunger games i like 2 but if i had to pick it would be twilight all the way and gosh hunger games fans u don't need to make fun of twilight and say bad stuff about it. seriously just say why u like hunger games better. no need to insult any movie here so grow up.

i love hunger games book but the movie franchise pisses me off... yesterday i went to this bookstore to see that the hunger games has some special items being sold like movie companion mag, illustrated guide, etc.. they really imitate what the twilight saga did... urggg... i think hunger games book is much better than twilight but the movie franchise is annoying.. if they want THG to reach millions of fans and become worldwide phenomena then, lion's gate should make their own strategy....

Khatless I don't hate Catnees! I hate that such a story with potential turned into a failure for me! The first book is amazing, it is ruined by the following stryline, Catnees character too! And that is my point: Catnees is just human and she is sooo perfect! She never makes mistakes! C'mon! Bella admits over and over and over her mistakes, her selfishness, but she is the one to save the day in the end and not because she's capable of physical fighting, but because she has intuition and I'm pissed off by the image that some feminists try to inflict all around : like if you are a normal girl with no extraordinary power whatsoever(from looks to being Jet Lee) you don't get to be the leading lady. But woman rely on their intuition from forever - that is what differs them from man, we don't need to be similar to them to be strong. No leading lady get's soo much critic as Bella even thou most seem to have perfect hair, killer wardrobe, they are intelligent, they are beautiful and they get the Guy in the end(WTH right!). Twilight is just different! Its smth new! Bella could be everyone of us.And people would appreciate more Stephanie Meyers writing if you consider that you cannot drop the books once even thou tells the story from one characters point of view, follows her boring everyday life. People who read and write know that this is not easy for an author to make a good story out of it ...But this is the point - ppl are tired with the main character to save the world, when they cannot save themselves or make choices for themselves! And is refreshing that in a world when everyone would tell a girl what to do or not to do( like is everyone's business!) Bella is determined to fight for what she wants the most and Edward is not just her boyfriend, but the kind of life she wants! Bella had to chose between what was certain ( a happy and quite life with Jacob, having children and everyone she loved around) and what was uncertain(how would she turn out as a vampire, how would she later feel for not having children, will her relationship with Edward be the same after she would lose all people she knew) HG ANDTWILIGHT ARE DIFFERENT, APART FROM THE TRIANGLE, but i feel like HG is well developed by a political viewpoint, but not for the characters individually. Nothing against the cast of HG: I like JL but she's no Catnees, LH is perfect as Gale and JH not sure yet. I will see the movie, but I don't feel like I'm seeing nthg special and none of my European friends ever heard of it (I'm albanian but i travel Europe a lot)

O.k if we are talking books THG wins all the way.

If we are talking movie I'm not sure, I hate the casts of both Twilight and THG with a few exceptions named Ashley greene, Anna Kendrick, Kristen stewart and Liam Hemsworth, I think both movies are more for the specacle and the media and forgot the more important part of the books, and focus too much in the love triangle. Everyone knows who Katniss and Bella will end up with ever since chapter 1 so I found the movies lame. My vote I can't choose.

    Twilight 4 ever

  • Khatless - 12 years ago

Thanks Rez for your opinion. Well we can be agree that we are disagree ^^ but this is totally ok. In first place I need to say that this two storys should stand against each other because they are totally different. What I don´t understand is why you hate Katniss so much. She is 16 and never wanted this all. After the first book she is down. She has nightmares and everything and she can´t stop what happening. And still I need to say the love story isn´t the main point. And I even think she is beautiful because Katniss never thought of Love. She never wanted to marriage or having children, so she is confused about her feelings for Peeta. Just with time she started to trust him.
I mean I read Twillight too and I like it, but it is never this way good. Because it is "just" about a girl who falls in love with a vampire (suprise ^^) and she is blind for everything else. I never become really warm with bella (btw. I love Kristen Stewart) because I always just was thinking "God girl, don´t be so stupid". Never like Edward either ( not a fan of robert too but i think he playes edward perfectly). And i really don´t like the last book...and the movies are ok. Best was the third but...i don´t know. HG has the much deeper story. When you tell me it is just killing and fighting and killing I just see you don´t understand the whole story but this is ok. So everybody has a book and a movie/s. And you´re right: without love I am as good as dead, but when I don´t survive I really be dead, so still thinking survival go first and than comes the love ^^ But without love it´s getting harder to survive.

  • Rez - 12 years ago

Sure Khatless! Without love you are as good as dead! I'm not comparing the two movies cause they are indeed different, but HG could have been a little more intense cause it had all the potential such story could have. So plsssssssssss what did Catness achieved in the end???? After killing and killing and killing..., but that is not my point entirely: The love story that was there from the beginning is poorly written and even more poorly imagined, the characters by themselves are well developed, but they don't feet with each-other, they are isolated. I'm sorry for the critic but I'm really pissed off that such a nice book as HG would be followed by a total failure as Catching fire and an even word Mockingjay. Seriously?? Don't say the love story is not the main line of the book cause if such a line exists a good writer should make the best of it. Catnees is suggested to be strong female cause she can fight?? - She can barely make a decision when it comes for her self! She doesn't have intuition, which is a woman's most precious quality. HG is not seductive (read Baudrilliard's "Seduction") and I can't stand to watch a movie only with fights in it and I'm afraid Lionsgate has sucked what was best out of the books for the sake of the spectacle! I want to clarify that I have read all the three books and I actually liked HG(book 1) as a beginning, but felt completely disappointed afterwards

@Rez O.o Love is more importent the survival? Well, how should I still love when I´m dead... or what can I do with it, when I´m dead? Just a question. Would love to hear an answer

  • Rez - 12 years ago

Twilight is winning because it has fan more broader and dedicated fan base then HP and HG put together...and there is good reason for that. Love is far more important then survival !

  • Khatless - 12 years ago

I read both books,, and saw all Twilight movies and need to say : Twilight is winning? What the hell? Don´t you now a good and a bad movie? The last one was terrible... Hunger Games alle the way. Don´t give up Tributes. We beat them in the mirgin movie awards. Way more importent!

  • Miranda - 12 years ago

We don't claim to be Harry Potter, nothing can replace that! But Hunger Games is way better than Twilight.
