Sound off on El Paso officials threatening to prosecute churches for a petition drive
Good for them – the religious right must be resisted with every tool we have available
Texas election law prohibits churches from circulating petitions – break the law, bear the consequences
Texas politics are hardball politics – if the churches wanted to play they needed to be prepared to get bruised
Churches should preach the gospel and save souls, not meddle in politics
The Texas law prohibiting churches circulating petitions is a clear violation of the First Amendement
These are among the most arrogant public officials I've ever heard of
The churches made some politically naive mistakes – but there's no reason Christians and others in El Paso can't begin the recall process again
I'm sick and tired of hearing that "gays" are victims of official hate and persecution – it's the Christians who are being hated ... by the "gays" and their allies
One more piece of evidence the "gay" agenda cannot advance without trampling Christianity and constitutional rights
