I don't see why they think a responsible 18 year old can't handle carrying a gun especially if they are willing to jump through all the legal hoops that are required for them to be legal to carry. If a bad guy wants to carry a gun they are going to carry it. I would like everyone that is at least 18 to be able to protect themselves from these heinous crimes that are committed on unarmed innocent civilians. Armed law-abiding citizens are the first line of defense of criminals. "When someone's life is in danger where seconds count, police are only minutes away. 18 year olds are already considered an adult by law. Treat them the way they are supposed to be treated. I would much rather be in a place where everyone 18 and over is carrying, because I know I'm safe if a criminal attempts to attack me.
