Most people in the horseracing industry are not gamblers but are passionate about horses and providing entertainment for those gamblers that actually enjoy using their mind in calculating the risks and chances of one horse over another. This profession has been around far longer than governments that promote gambling and once racetracks are owned by people who don't care about horse people but care about money only, the hundreds of people who have kept this sport alive are deemed dispensible. The current government is quite willing to prop up casinos which they built.

Why is it that our government slashes jobs but NEVER downsize themselves? In fact the number of Politicians are up every year, they give themselves lavish raises, golden pensions, outstanding benifits(they have a private hospital in Ottawa that only they use!). They have it all wrong, they work for US. When are we going to wake up?
