Jermaine jones will never be gone. Why did all do that to him like that. He is a good singer. All need to stop kicking him off like that. I know what had happen,when he was a kid. totally agree with u debbie they had loads of time 2 do background checks.and what a coincidence bringing jermaine jones back then 2 weeks later he gets kikd off.biggest publicity stunt ever.Idol sux now anyway i reckon The Voice is way better and he should go audition for that.They got the cheek to talk about rules about backgrounds,celebrities have the worst criminal backgrounds but they always get away with it because of their fame.

Bullshit on these other 2 comments. Idol is dead up wrong for publicly denouncing Jermaine. If a minor record is against their rules--first of all the burden of proof was on them to investigate the contestants before they let them on. They certaintly had enough time in between Jermaine admitting on the application that he had been arrested and the time the show started. Hell No--this was a set-up and I hope Idol ends up paying out of their ass for this public humilation they caused this man. I think they knew along about his outstanding warrants and this was a set up in case they needed the ratings. Well they sure as hell needed the ratings because their ratings are terrible!!! They got so many rules--those rules should apply to the judges too. Steven Tyler has had and still has a colorful lifestyle to put in mildly.

It's about time that performers recognize that their criminal behavior will not be tolerated. We have glorified repeated drug offenders, and even lowered the flag to half mast in New Jersey for an admitted addict. Let's get some heroes that work hard, take care of their families and are not addicts. If anyone should be mad, it should be the producers of American Idol. They invested a lot of time and money in a fugitive that told them bare faced lies. He got what he deserved. Jermaine Jones is a liar that thought he could outsmart the system.
