@ Roberta, it would help my culture if yours didn't exist, so when will it be okay to clobber you in the head? Comparing seals to cows.....cows are abused too....so when someone hurts you or your loved ones....lets say someone who has the culture of abusing people.....should I respond with "So? It happens to people all of the time!" So your 'educated' logic is that abuse is okay, as long as it's done to others?? Or is it only okay when your logic suits your desires?

Awesome. It is usually people with "lack of education" who try to protect their cruel culture. Everyone knows it is not cuddly, but this is not the reason to protect it from your barbaric brutality. I understand that some sadistic people must be very upset that they can't do it while the easterns can kill dogs, but don't worry. They will be stopped one day as well. Wish you all the best in developing a better culture, that doesn't hurt others

I think the seal hunt helps more than it hurts... Seals kill the fish, and other animals that we harvest. People have the wrong opinion because of lack of education. It helps a lot of people as well, and protects our culture... If this was quebec... we already would have Canada by the balls sort of speak. We need to speak up, fight back and show the world it isnt the cuddly animals they think they are... these are harvest able animals - great for consumption and for medical reasons. Its restarted how they look at these animals any differently than a cow. Grow up world. If eastern cultures can kill and eat dogs / cats/ monkeys why cant we eat seal meat ?

Good riddance to the seal hunt it ends up costing way to much to the province in terms of bad PR for the few people it helps.
