If there is scientific proof that supports a limit for truck drivers hours, how much more important it is to limit Paramedics who not only drive but have to make life and death discisions for their clients.
Having watched our Minister onCBC Television today waffle and double speak is just sickening and disheartening, Of course you need facts ,but stop wasting time and get going, You are paid to do something besides keeping all happy by not saying anything that could cause a discussion and lead to a solution,
Step out of your comfort zone and have the intestinal fortitude to act in the Publics (remember? the onas who elected you and pay your comfortable salary and great benefits!) best interest instead of hiding behind more "studies" that just get shelved and collect dust.
Einstein and Franklin and all the other great men "did" not "dithered and waffled and hid"Stop the political speak and act,It doesn't take too much "common sense " to see the irrefutable logic behind "capping" hpurs.
Once you make a descision to do so,then we can deal with the details .
    A concerned citizen and taxpayer.

Are interns and residents still working cruel ungodly hours without sleep? Pity the patients.
