    The BCS is still a work in progress and until we have a true national play off is meaningless. The Superbowl is already over in 2012, March Madness underway. The Olympics are so cute and London should be watchable, but track & field is not gripping enough to rank best.

    Not mentioned was any car races, such as the Indy 500, which are big deals. Here in Seattle Seafair rates pretty high. But with the demise of the hydoplane sport it is mostly about watching the Blue Angels and having a day at the lake. I think the Rose Bowl is still pretty big, but then that may be just me. And nowhere was mentioned the Stanley Cup. Shame on you.

    If there were a playoff system I could see the bcs championship game being much more popular. It currently excludes to many college football fans.
