Did Montreal police handle the anti-brutality march appropriately?

I respected the work of the SPCUM until the recent student demonstrations. I have had contact with them in a strike I participated in. They were very polite and professional. With the students, however, I was appalled on more than one occasion; they literally attacked peaceful students, throwing grenades directly onto students (not into the air) and beating youngsters whose only crime was sitting on the sidewalks. These kids are young enough to be my children. Now when I hear from protesters that the police attacked them, I have no doubt that they use this tactic to provoke and discredit the protesters. In the end, it's people like me (workers, property owners) who pay for the irresponsible police tactics that have no other goal than to discredit dissent and justify police brutality.

The Police were put in a bad situation ,
that has nothing to do with them being brutal in the past,
this demonstration should never be allowed or in the least blocked from movement completely as there are factions who could care less about police brutality . These demonstarators are hard done to because the police do not let them riot and burn?

This is just an annual bum fest where hard done to rioters cry because they are being beaten when they loot and burn I feel so sorry for them!

Are the police brutal Yes they are at times but in this demonstration they should use more non-lethal force to stop these gutter snipes from getting out of hand.
