Jane Grey was a woman and even though she was of a royal line, she had no power. Being a female, she was just a pawn of her family. Her father and father in law, were the ones with the power and pushed for her to take the throne. But Jane was brilliant in how she handled herself. What a shame the her cousin put her to death. As for Thomas Cranmer, I would say he was a very powerful man. But his death was a payback for annulling Mary's parent's marriage and for being a heretic.
