What do you think is the optimum time for a new 90-minute adult class in the Church?

My experience as a small groups coordinator led me to NOT schedule things on Saturdays, unless it was early in the morning. You are competing with various activities and errands for people who work and or are in school all week. I found that most people were much more willing to spend some time at church at night during the week, unless they had children for whom and early bedtime was an issue.

The class time you are using (90 minutes) is something that is not too long or not too short, so that shouldn't be an issue.

During the week you could have dessert as something shared, instead of pizza, unless it was more convenient for folks to come and get a light dinner. Sometimes having folks be responsible for helping/providing snacks or food also will get them there on a more consistent basis (but a back up plan is good to have in case they don't show). Often we would have several people share this responsibility each meeting so if one person didn't show then there would still be food.

Not being completely familiar with the weeknight schedule at First, I didn't want to choose a night.

You might also think about doing it 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th so that there is a week's break between classes.

    Good luck!
