Miami can do with the experience and it's the best choice for a 6th ring

I see a bunch of hatred commenting he has rings and you can't say he don't have skill major part of every championship ring he has look at his clutch game winning shots he is no kobe but was a major piece to the Lakers championship franchise.

This isn't a poll; it's a test, and unless you typed retire in the other box, you failed miserably. Just like D-fish.

Wherever Fish ends up, this whole thing proves what idiots Buss, his son, Mitch Kupchak and Mike Brown are. We - the Lakers - were playing our BEST ball of the season before this trade totally screwed with the chemistry of the team. Now we're losing to the Utah Jazz at home. Laker haters SHOULD be having a good laugh at our expense. The Lakers' management are a bunch of morons. What I wouldn't give to have Phil Jackson and Jerry West back to run the show.

Derek was fundamental in winning FIVE RINGS. Those five banners hanging in Staples are there in large part to Derek. Loyalty doesn't mean squat in L.A.

    Idiots.

    Dear Derek Fisher,
YOU NEED TO RETIRE... NOBODY LIKES A FREE-RIDER which is pretty much all you've ever been with the Lakers. You sit there and make excuses like the poor sport you are til you find a way to get on a championship team and take all the credit. YOU SUCK. That's all there is to it! Everybody reading this knows what I mean. Thank you for your terrible job in the lockout and please retire... soon... like now... thanks.

    Sincerely,

    All NBA Fans

Fisher would be a good fit for the Heat. Having a Veteran who can keep cool in Championship games will greatly assist the team's star players who are still young and have a lot to learn and achieve. When Miami won thier previous title, Dwayne Wade was accompinied by Alonzo Mourning and Shaq and this helped him perform a lot better.

D Fish should just sign with the Celtics to say F*** You Lakers you should have kept me now I'm going to play with your #1 rival! Even though I do believe his best option would be either the spurs or chicago. I do not know how much playing time he would get with the heat because there a big run and go team which he would not be able to keep up with but the spurs play at his speed so it would probably be his best choice. Orlando is not going anywhere because they can't beat miami or chicago in a 7 game series and their team relies too much on their three-point game and the brandon bass for glen davis trade only weakened their chances. I do believe he could be a help to chicago with D Rose's injury but I don't know if he could play with their pace as much. After the clippers picked up nick young from the wizards I just can't see fisher fitting in their sequence but you never know.

If Derek wants his 6th championship I would sign with the Spurs. They need a backup for Tony Parker since TJ Ford has retired.Go Spurs!!

  • MrTKO - 12 years ago

Go to the Knicks we could use a veteran guard that knows how to win a proven champion have fish come in with the second unit and do wat he does and waive Mike Bibby

  • Lakers#1 - 12 years ago

Fisher should retire and become an assistant coach for the Lakers. That is the best option! He would then end his career as a Laker and as a starter instead of going downhill on the bench of some inferior team.

  • Dan Da Man - 12 years ago

He would be a great fit for the Heat. Norris Cole is not getting the job done, and also he should be a shooting guard. Fisher is a veteran, and deserves to be with a team with so many different athletes (LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh). He would really help Heat Coach Eric Spoelstra manage Mario Chalmer's minutes, and can keep the team in line come playoff time.

He would be a great fit on the Thunders 2nd unit. Reggies role at this point is to pass to harden and shoot the occasional 3. Their 2nd unit has felt out of sync since Maynor was sidelined. I fear the worst for Jackson come playoff time and Fisher could slow down the tempo and give a half court feel to a team that I think isos far too muchas it is.

Fisher would be much more valuable to the Thunder than the Magic. The Magic have about a .0001 chance of making the Finals this year while the Thunder have roughly a 25-50% chance (the game against SA made me a little worried but I'm sure the defense will get tighter come the playoffs and with Sefalosha). Also, it'd be good for somebody with credentials to be able to keep Westbrook a little more in line.
