What’s your stance on apologizing in the workplace?

Apologizing is a sign of weakness, and you should avoid it at all costs.

Only apologize when you’re sure that you are completely at fault, as opposed to sharing fault in a misunderstanding.

When in doubt, apologize. It’s better to be too polite than to risk being rude.

It depends on your role (boss, co-worker, employee, etc.) and/or gender

I believe that a sincere apology can't hurt a situation. Perhaps the apologoy will help to calm down someone that is upset so that they know that they have been heard and you both can begin to resolve the issue.
