And on that note, has anybody considered Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian)? If any of these choices sound a little young, I think Ben Barnes would pass as old(er) enough.
I think Zac Efron's perfect for the role of Finnick. He has the body of a jock and is naturally tanned so it fits the swimmer that Finnick is. And yes, the hair colour is right for Finnick too. Besides, it's been a while since Zac has been in any major movies and the High School Musical thing didn't really stick thaaaat much.
Chad Michael Murray would be a spot on choice for finnick. He's believable in that he could weather storms while charming women into loving him and men into rallying behind his cause all at the same time. He's drop dead gorgeous while still being approachable, has a great physique, and is older- therefore more appropriate for finnick than some of the younger guys in the running. I really think he'd be perfect!!!
Honestly I can't see anyone else playing this role other than Chris Evans. I know that landing an actor such as him for this role is way out there. He without a doubt is the only person I can see playing Finnick!!!
Armie is perfect for Finnick guys! I think Taylor is kinda old for play Finn and not "hot" enough. And Garret is also kinda old (not so much) for Finn. Armie has all the characteristics to be Finnick: Height, age, skin color, eye color (kinda). The color of Finnick's hair is difficult to define, but the color of the hair is not a problem for producers. And have you heard his voice? I've seen some interviews with him and he has a deep and seductive voice just like Finn. To finish he is a great actor, so for me is the perfect Finnick :]

That would not be okay, seeing as Finnick's most noticeable quality is the gorgeous seafoam green color of his eyes.
I have not found an absolute perfect match for the elusive Finnick Odair, but the closest match is Garrett Hedlund. His eyes are the perfect match, he is as beautiful as Finnick, his body is incredible, and his acting is superb. I wouldn't mind seeing him with those sugar cubes.

I'm for youtuber Joey Graceffa even though he's not a famous actor, but he is incrediable and desevers the role for Finnick if you watch his vlogs and music videos you know how talented and cute he is! He deserves it if he got the part I wouldn't be able to explain how happy I'd be for him!
I think Drew Seeley would be a great pick for the role of Finnick. He's got the charm and build for Finnick, but he also has the sweetness that Finnick has. He isn't very popular but he's been in enough movies to know what he's doing. I hope that Lionsgate does NOT choose Zac Efron to play Finnick . He is a very poor choice. He doesn't have the toughness needed for this role. I just don't see Zac Efron as Finnick. My vote is for Drew Seeley.

How about Archie Hammer? He was the prince in Mirror/Mirror and worked with Leonardo DiCaprio in J. Edgar. He's 24 and beautiful!! He also has drama and comedy down and it built to the "T".
Alexander Skarsgard is how I pictured Finnick, but he might be too old. Otherwise I think it's better to go with someone relatively unknown, definitely NOT Zac Efron.

I have to agree with the one who suggested Luke Mitchell. His photo on Imdb is in the water...how perfect! Plus, he's Australian and a relative unknown. I think Finnick should be muscular but lean, not bulked-up like Taylor Lautner. He has to be thin enough to glide through water. A surfer bod.
Paul Wesley definitely, he is a great actor, can pull off the Finnick look and he can play both roles of Finnick ( bad and good side). I totally agree with Kristin.

When I read how Katniss described him I pictured Henry Cavill, Garrett Hedlund, maybe even Zac Efron. But I picture him tan with bronze brown hair. And I agree with others. I want people to bring this actors career to life by calling him "Finnick". Just because I can picture a Zac Efron's type doesn't mean it's Zac Efron. I want to know him as "Look! Gavin Gustin for sure, he definitely has the look of Finnick and he'd do great to act out the sly, cunning, darker side to him in Cathcing Fire and the sweeter one in Mockingjay. He would definitely be the best role for Finnick, in my opinion.

When I was reading the books, I kept picturing Jensen Ackles as Finnick, but he's too old to play the role. It's a shame because he would have been perfect, he fits the bill physically and he can act. Currently though I think Garrett Hedlund would be good. I really hope Alex Pettyfer is not cast, he can't act his way out of a paper bag and the role of Finnick has some complexity to it, which he does not have the ability to pull off.

My first choice was Ian Somerholder, but now after thinking more about it Colin Egglesfield (Something Borrowed) is my perfect Finnick! He even has martial arts training, which would be a huge benefit on screen, and I can totally see him wearing a fish net and pulling it off beautifully.
