Should area school boards allow ‘inspirational messages?’

I BELIEVE IN PRAYER--it's unfortunate that it won't work in public schools like yester-year--With all the DIVERSITY in America now--it's too risky even tho most people are Christian. Other religions will want THEIR prayers also & it would only be fair to allow all of them. That really opens up a can of worms. We shouldn't even attempt it!

What is an "Inspirational Message"? Another way to say Prayer? Prayer is a religious thing and is by law not allowed in schools. One other point, you really want to allow students to write their own "Inspirational Messages" and deliver them without review of a teacher or administrator? That would be insane. While most students are intelligent and conscientious they still need guidance, or else why not let them run the school system.

    Religion should be private.
I don't want my kids to have to listen to others people's religious beliefs. That is not what I want from school.
