ROBERT I couldn't agree with you more. I play college level athletics and to be honest starters can get lazy if there is no threat of competition. Just to add my own point Ryan has to get better at throwing the long ball. He struggles the most in my eyes at getting the ball deep to an open Roddy all the time. With the addition of Jones this has to be an area were the Falcons excel. I hope this is what the Falcons have been working on this offseason.

Even though we have Chris Redmon as the backup, I feel that the organization should bring in some real competition for Ryan at the quarterback job. In the past even though we had Vick, we also had Schaub, who was not only competition, but a franchise quarterback in his own right. Matt Ryan has simply had it too easy!! I'm hoping that competition will bring out the best in him.
