I am happy that Chloe was accepted at Joffrey. My last comments point is that the girls are being pushed beyond what young girls that age should be pushed. Wasn't it cal ripkin who warned againt putting too much pressure on young children? Yes ballet is a athletic art. As good as the girls are they all could do just as well at a studio like the one I mentioned, if not, long term better. One of the girls ( maybe two.) may consider concentrating on gymnastics, rythmIc gymnastics, circ soli or something else. All perfectly good athletic arts. Chloe is going to get some ballet training. Hopefully has a good future and to move on to a healthier environment. Off the show and on the stage and maybe a filmed ballet. There are enough good dance studios , just have to research them before committing. Teachers need to be age appropriate. Respectful, firm as needed. And knowledgable. Patience is key. I am more familiar with lessons, performance and a supportive environment. Very different mind set that competitive dance. There is a little competition but ultimately support among , mom, dads , teachers and students. Cathy and Abby are of that short term competition mind set. Not the long term accumulative performance supportive style that I am familiar with.

I feel sad seeing two women who call themselves dance teachers treat children the way they do. And the moms who put Thier children in that situation. I know a great local dance teacher here who has graduated much better dancers than the Abby lee dancers. Most of the dancers who competed got good placing. Though the majority rather just perform and do the annual nutcracker. The girls at this school get high complements when they branch out. Guess what this teacher never treated her students the way Abby and Cathy do. She had dance know how, performance experience, compassion, firmness as needed, respect and kindness. Folks there are teachers like that and the results are more long term. She knows not to abuse nor burn out the dancers. She thinks in terms of long term and what benifited the child's future. Abby and Cathy are short term result type teachers. Like any sport short term gain long term harm. Plus the dances and costumes are for 20 year old dancers. Maybe late teen earliest.

Is Vivi even Cathy and her husband's biological child? I see absolutely no genetic similarities at all! Not to mention, the kid said herself that her mother wants her to dance more than she does. She could be amazing and even more successful at something else, and will never know, because mom wanted to relive her glory days! I don't want Cathy just to go. I want her to randomly burst into flames. I have my opinions about Abby and the Dance Moms, but nothing compared to my hatred for Cathy!

I hate Cathy she's annoying And thinks vivi can dance Vivi is no comparison to makenzie the only person that I don't have a problem On the apples is Justice that little boy and Kendall I totally agree with Holly when Nia Paige and Chloe forgot their dances she did not hug them and comfort them and like Christi said Abby needs To live by her word save your tears for your pillow. I am so happy for Chloe she won 1st place and she won the Joffery Scholarship I did not see Abby hugging all over Chloe for that Chloe should be on the TOP of that pyramid for season 3 and if Maddie is then Abby obviously has favorites. Cathy should not be put back on the show because she is a waste of time nobody cares about her all she does is talk about how nice she is her daughter is a horrible dancer and all she does is run across the stage so it will make it look like all the other girls who are like 16 look like their 12 and 13 like Abby's girls.and the only people who are the correct age is justice Kendall and vivi who is no comparison to so I don't know how she made Abby's team in the first place.Jill you are a studio hopper Kendall was great where she was at Abbys, Abby taught Kendall you just opened your mouth to much that is why she was on probation so much for so long idiot.

'Dance Moms' is a breath of fresh air in a sea of modern Reality TV - except for the 'bad' smell that comes from the direction of Candy Apples.
The dancers are amazingly exceptional - I have had the pleasure of coaching children for 20 years - synchronized swimming and dance - and there are few that can achieve the excellence these 'tiny dancers' have achieved. They obviously have benefited from strong parental support and great coaching - all of which has cost a great deal of money and time commitment.
The show lets us have a brief glimpse of the actual coaching - and Abby is great. A good coach knows what can produce an excellent performance - regardless what the orthodoxy of the method - and Abby's method has a proven track record . Educators of the general populations do not coach; they teach children how to learn - a completely different set of skills.
I have great sympathy for the athletes/dancers of Candy Apples - this pseudo-coach, regardless of the number of years teaching, is doing a disservice to her charges - Cathy is showing them how to cheat; be proud of it; how to perform substandard; and be proud of it, and to not know the difference (the parents are responsible for this one). Taylor was the lucky one - she got a chance to she her coach respond to her personal distress - my child would have been made to resigned the next day with a pending law suit for the balance of tuition paid.
On a happier tone, I live in Ontario and have not had the pleasure of the 'Dance Moms Miami'
- according to the general opinion. I look forward to seeing these fabulous dancers - congrats Chloe and Maddie - have wonderful Summer Internship at the Joffrey - it may change your life! They may want to become Prima Ballerinas! I hope not yet - Abbey has lots to still teach you and your have so much more wonderful dancing to perform. Brava!!!!!
Just a quick summary note - I got to see the Rosie show and saw some of the real interactions - unfortunately, Cathy still did not impress, despite her explanations to Vivie about what was happening - Oh, and about Vivie, contrary to her Mother/Coach's opinion, she needs basic dance classes to improve her poise and body core control and improve toe-point and leg extentions if her mother intends her to not humiliate herself on stage. (Cute is not cute after baby fat is gone!)
All the best and lets hope the producers may actually care about what we love about the show!!

I think Abbey is a great teacher. I gate that the moms get mad at her for yelling and discouraging, but without it, where would their children be? Also, the Maddie situation is so unfair. If Maddie was their child, they would act just like Melissa and would hate to be buged all the time by Holly and Christi. Maddie rocks anyway! And Cathy is the worst! No matter how much Abbey rants and raves, Cathy us always stealing routines and gloating before the compititions, abd always ends up loosing! When shes not doing that, shes stealing dancers from Abbey! Please come back Dance Moms and Abbey!

Unfortunately, my heart goes out to Abby...she has taught her girls in the same fashion as any sport. She is tough, she teaches professional behavior and you can see it in the girls. People that say Abby should go cry by herself at home at a pillow....I'm sure she has many times. She is not stupid when she says that to her students, she is teaching strength and just as she had a break down on this last episode, she knows her girls will as well.
As far as favoritism regarding Maddie. I see a couple of possibilities. Maybe Maddie reminds Abby of someone or maybe even of herself in some way. Maybe Maddie forgetting her piece was the icing on the cake for Abby, this lady lives for dance and REALLY wants the best for her girls. She had already been dealing with things prior to this.
Cathy, I so can't stand you on the show, you certainly have ulterior motives, it's sickening to watch. Kendel's mother is an opportunist, probably saw the season before with sickening apples and wanted her daughter seen so bad she made a deal with the devil. Kendel dancing with that 'dance studio' was completely planned and intentional by BOTH Cathy and Kendel's mom.
Abby come back, I think you take your dance so seriously, you just had enough. I also think the majority of people who watch the show can see what is really going on here. You are tough, but you are not mean. You are tough because you are teaching the girls the reality of making it big. And just to point it out, we all saw just how professional that ballet studio man was, no nonsense (in the middle of a dance lesson because of all the chaos in the locker room). Abby is no different, we just see it and also see the crazy dance mom's. ABBY is teaching the REALITY of the future for some of these girls. And what they will be is PROFESSIONAL!!!

I'm a ten yr old boy who loves this show! I watch with my mom. I think candy apples suck, & there dancers are too ugly & old! I hope this isn't the end of the show because I hate the dance moms miami show... Chloe's my favorite! Kathy acts like a annoying 4th grade girl at my school, she needs to grow up already!!!

While Cathy is more of a sensitive dance coach that doesn't encourage fighting in her studio Abby is an amazing coach!! She pushes those girls to be all that they can and they truly are amazing!! I think ya Abby puts a lot of pressure on the girls but I think if they can handle it now they'll for sure be able to take on other obstacles in life. Cathy is also such an instigator shes immature at the competitions and at Joeffry OH MY GOODNESS!! She doesn't show her very good sportsmanship ya making goals to beat a rival is good but when you go and rub it in their faces rudely and arrogantly that's just ridiculous!!! Ughhh I just really want Dance Moms to come back on instead of this Miami crap.

Cathy is an old broken down hasbeen who is trying to regain her youth vicariously through her daughter. If Abby Lee isn't going to be back maybe she can get a job doing "Hairspray".
She certainly has the voice of Harvey Fierstein and the fat body suit look of John Travolta; she'd be a natural.
A friend of mine, who is a professional in the dance world(Broadway) said those routines are a tooo dark for children and those open crotch poses are trashy, not to mention the costumes.
I hope the little girl who won the scholarship finds a better teacher than Abby.
Maybe Abby can take some time off and be on "The Biggest Loser".

Abby is professional and Cathy I don't have a good enough word for.
Copying Chloe's routines time and time again is more than undignified, its desperate and shows she can't be original enough to think of a dance with different music and theme to beat the others fair and square.
I cheer every time Chloe perseveres and in a way it shows that playing honest beats playing dirty. The only type of apple Cathy is, is one that is rotten to its core. Also Cathy needs to stop using her daughter as a prop because she has potential, but standing around while dancers flounce around her is a total waste of her talent.

I read some of these comments and I think some of you are just as bad as Abby. It shouldnt matter who is cute or who is not cute they are all children. She is their dance teacher and to pay attention to one child over others is not what a teacher is meant to do. She is to work to give every dancer at her studio the instructing they seek. She should feel for all her kids but you can see obviously she doesn't. Take the moms out of the equation for a moment and realize that those little girls have to constantly be berating for any mistake that is not how you teach. You also don't cry for one child when the week before a different child had the same experience and all that was said were negative comments while still bringing up another child who had the same experience a few weeks before. This time around it was waterworks and hugs and pep talks...where was that in incidents prior? Is this really okay? It doesn't matter if Abby was crying earlier she didn't save her tears for her pillow which would have been the decent thing to do for those other little girls she cares so blantly little for. Those girls can see that and while a teacher is to pour confidence into her pupils I think she only creates resentment and sadness for most of her team. They will continue to feel that arent worth her time. If Abby wants to put all her eggs in one basket that is fine but she shouldn't be running a studio. Also I would love to see some of you guys have to deal with a teacher that clearly gave one child the most attention and maybe even love over your child. Could you even imagine your child's 2nd grade teacher doing such a thing? This child is a natural at math these kids aren't so this child deserves my attention more? Oh one day so in so will get to Harvard these other bottom feeders arent worth my time? Instead of so in so is going to get to Harvard, it is clear but I want all my kids to get there and I will give them the support, knowledge and confidence to do so. From what I can see she has the knowledge part down perhaps she should work on the rest. Those moms who are upset have a right to be. They seem to be the only cheerleaders for the unfavored girls. So layoff them. I honestly hope the adults on the show see their behavior and then decide to get they're shit together... Abby. And FYI Cathy isn't worth the time. I fast forward through her parts.

What is going on with Abby? At first I thought it was a favoritism thing towards Maddie, who is a beautiful dance, but after rethinking of the episode, she was an emotional wreck before Maddie's freeze. Sometimes I wish I could shake Abby when she's being critical cause it seems so mean but Cathy is the Devil!!
The moms are so crazy sometimes but I was sooo glad when Jill left...she was 10 times more annoying and immature than the others. She is a perfect fit at the Candy Apples with the Devil. Poor Kendall cause I think she had great potential at the Abby Lee Miller Company. She just needed to work her way up.

I would say that cathy is the worst person in the entire world. When she gloated about how shebwon by one point, i thought i was going to die. Sure kendall is a great dancer but as kelly said no comparison to maddie or chloe on the first episode. but vivi is horrible. I am not sure if she even wants to dance. Not a lot of people might agree with me, but i feel bad for abby. even though i agree with cristi. Didnt she say to nia and kendall to go home and cry into a pilow? You need to change your attitude cathy. Its starting to stink like rotten cheese

I think that Maddie is a better dancer than Chloe, and has a prettier face. Chloe has more of an anorexic, lanky, dancer's body. I guess thats why she got selected to the Joffrey instead of Maddie. I wonder if Melissa is going to stop making dance the center of Maddies existence now? Nia's mom is way too invested in Nia's dancing life. I think that she needs to encourage Nia to get some other hobbies, or interests.
Cathy is just plain insane, or bi-polar. She needs to stop stalking the Abby company. She is really kind of scary and bizarre.
I wonder whats going to happen with the next season too?

cathy is aweful. yes abby favors maddie, we see that, but she truly cares about the well being and success of her dancer at every competition. All cathy cares about is stomping on abby. of course cathy won by one point...she has much older dancers and sticky her daughter in their so they can compete at the same level as abby. And seriously! How did Vivi even get on the team. cathy just has her stand there, in every routine...she is a cute little girl, but is she really the dance instructors daughter? shes terrible, but also favored. seh could obviously never ever get a spot anywhere else. there is NO comparison between her and mackenzie. Poor little viv needs to learn from someone else. Would u really want ur child being taught by cathy when thats the kinds of dancer she produces, i sure would not!

Can anyone tell me who makes the earrings the girls wear to practice? They are similar to some Sabika pieces, which Holly has worn, but I can not seem to find the earrings. As far as the show goes, Cathy has to be embarrassed to have been a role model for these young girls and acting so immature.

I want the show back with out Cathy. With out the bickering. Lets see the girls talent, more competition. Lets see Dancing and a less harsh Abby. Mom be more encouring to the kids instead of out to criticize Abby.

Abby is hard on the kids because she knows what they can do and she is pushing them. However sometimes she pushes to much. Abbie could be more encouraging and understanding of their age. But I would want my kids with Abbie before Cathy.
Cathy is more sympathetic, and understanding that they are kids. But I have not seen the skill level in her kids. I have seen Cathy use her children as a tool to get Abbie.
Abby just wants the best for her girls. I don't think Abby was crying for Maddie and would have wanted to be there for Chole but was to emotional to finish out the day. Joffery outburst started by Cathy and egged on by Cathy embarrassed Abby. Then Cathy in her dressing room to push Abby again because they one by 1 point pushed Abby to the limit. This may be a lesson for Abby that she may be pushing her girls to far. However Cathy new what buttons to push and did it. Just like Satan. Abby had a point. My heart goes out for Abby.
The mom's assumed Abby was crying for Maddie when Abby was crying before Maddie's dance. Then Abby was sitting listening to Maddie yell, Abby is going to be mad. This was hurting Abby more and more. I wanted to comfort Abby. But the mom's made Abby even more. They assumed it was an example of Abby's favorite. Abby pushed Maddie more and may looks like she is favoring Maddie, when she is see more potential in Maddie and wants to develop it.
I loved the show to see the girls talent but I hated to hear the put down, Cathy how she wasn't there for her girls but to use them to get Abby. Abby is to harsh at times but she is more of a Christian and recognized Cathy for who she is.
Lets go back to Joffery. Abby tried to stop the bickering. But Cathy kept it going.
I hope Abby tries again but apologies for being to harsh. Remembers the girls ages and prays before each girl and before each competition. Abby pyramid is O.K But say the strong points and the things to work on. Don't make it out as criticism but constructive criticism. That what her intentens are but they don't always come out that way.
May God show Abby the way and help Cathy to let go of her resentment towards Cathy.

I think it is hilarious that Cathy from Rotten Apples Dance Studio, keeps putting her talentless daughter in her dance routines when she clearly can't-doesn't dance. One would think that the instructors daughter would be able to dance or have some talent when clearly this litlle girl has none. I am embarrassed for Cathy for putting this girl on stage during the routines. I wonder what the dancers think of this? Lets put this girl up against Mckenzie from Abbys in a solo and see if you gloat then Cathy ! Whadda ya say??????????????? Lets see what a good teacher you truly are !!!!

I watch this show for the girls. The mom's need to grow up. They are like middle school mean girls. Abby is just plain nuts. She has only the dance school, probably never had a date as she is fat and nasty acting. I'm fat too, but she has such a nasty disposition. I love the girls, all of them. They seem close to each other, support each other, never have a mean thing to say. Mom's, learn from your daughters!!!!!! As for Nia's mom, I truly wonder about her. She is so against her daughter doing ethnic dances I keep thinking she is ashamed of being black!!!! Why?????? I'm not black, but I can't see any shame in it. Anyone with any intelligence learned long ago that color doesn't matter. It is what is inside that counts. I am so sick of racisim. Again, moms, while I know that some of your attitudes are "for the show", I truly wish you would all take lessons from your daughters. They are truly the only mature people on the show!!!!

It amazes me, however, that she can have such a nice daughter. I can't understand how the kids are so nice when the mothers are such nasty wenches and have to guess it's because Abby keeps them in line, commands hard work and respect. Too bad the mothers can't made to be do anything other than sit the bench and bitch.

I agree totally with M.Jones. the mother with the PHD you should along with yourself educate the other Moms, you all are putting more pressure on you girls with the way you act and talk about Abbey I'm surprise those girls have any respect for Abbey or anyone for that matter. How could Abbey do anything else but leave she was being attacked by you all. Chole won and to her mother or any of the other mothers it meant nothing they were still focused on Maddy. If you don't like how Abbey treats your daughters find another dance studio, according to the show you all have enough money to do so. Get a life ladies and stay out of Melissa's business. What measures she had to take to have you ladies leave her alone. You ladies are disgusting, most coaches don't let the parents hang around and watch their kids when there is drama like that. I think Abbey goes over board letting you stay there to watch. You are trying to live your dreams through your daughters. Kristi is the worst mother of the group you talk about other people all the time. Thank goodness your daughter has a better personality then yours. You ladies need to let Abbey and the girls work together without out all the mothers drama!!

There is already a lot of great comments here. That Cathy is a piece of work! I was so stunned & completely saddened by the stunts she's pulled this season. Especially when tonight she comes in abbeys girls dressing room to gloat over winning by 1 stinking point! All the Abby girls are beautiful girls & dancers! Yes sometimes Abby is too hard on them & can be unfair like showing favoritism. I know those girls see it. Not to mention the moms making it very clearly known, but I think I'd be upset too. All kids love to be praised!! Like when Chloe got the scholarship & won 1st place she so should've gotten waaaay more attention from Abby. And I'm sure she knows that in her heart. Although we don't know what happened off camera or on the cutting room floor. They show us only what they want. Overall, Cathy is an evil witch who needs to fly away on her broom stick, I so hope to see Abby & all her girls for season 3. No Cathy!!!!!!! And congratulations to. Chloe!!!! You are spectacular!!! Maddie you too were great as always. You will both go far in life with dance or whatever you want because if your passion & drive. It so obvious that this show has preplanned objectives and contrived situations. Cathy is kept around to create the conflict a show needs to elicit emotions from the audience--we need to root for the good guy and boo the bad guy. This 'reality' show is really show biz-the moms had to audition for this show and producers chose the most outspoken. Have u noticed that Cathys moms are always quiet? If this were truly real there would not be such angst-abbys moms rant weekly about horrible Abby but bring their children back every day. This show is big bucks for them and they do what they're told. The only thing real are the judges at the competition.

A few thoughts... The mothers of The Abbey Group are shameful! That's right - shameful! Your girls are as good and have gotton as good as they are because Abbey plays the "bad guy" and allows you to continue to play the hero who comforts your child- AS IT SHOULD BE! FACE IT! Do you think she got there without Abbey's way of doing things- if so, then take her to that witch Cathy and see how far she makes it. Abbey's heart broke for Maddie because Maddie has done solo's, threesomes, duos FOREVER! She lives and breathes dance and therefore it was heartbreaking! Yes, it was sad when it happened to Chloe, but Chloe was not "nervous breakdown over it" which was GREAT!.......NO sympathy for Neia, because they let her go back out and she placed third so in my opinion her mother is a complete idiot for even opening big mouth tonight! Chloe is more well rounded than Maddie, meaning Dance is natural to Chloe to, but not her identity and that is heathy... Maddie is ALL dance- it is her calling.

It is truly pathetic that Cathy and the candy apples are even featured on this show. Her daughter never dances in the group routines and those girls that she has are very odd looking and it's awkward to watch them together. ESP with that boy thrown in there. I feel horrible for Kendall. She is the only good thing about candy apples. It's a shame she couldn't dance with Abby's girls. Her mother is what ruined that. All in all I absolutely love the show. And I will continue to watch every episode to come. (hoping that there is another season) just hope that the producers get smart and say good bye to Cathy. She is just a straight up bully and is teaching her students that it is okay to mock and taunt your competitors.

Cathy from Rotten Apples is as classless as it gets, tactless and tasteless as one can get. I feel sorry for her when she's featured in snippets still riding on the coattails of Abby Lee Miller. Does she really think her chubby lil daughter who stumbles her way through rehearsals can actually dance?? Really?? Or does she think her giant over-aged mismatched giraffes of students are at age with Cathy's 12 and under kids?
I think she gloats and boasts a lot, but if she was such a good dance teacher even better than Abby as she claims...she wouldn't be caught stealing over an over Abby's routine, music, and even costume. I think its pathetic that she's getting her 15 minutes of fame on someone else's behalf. Pathetic Rotten Apples!

I am happy that Chloe was accepted at Joffrey. My last comments point is that the girls are being pushed beyond what young girls that age should be pushed. Wasn't it cal ripkin who warned againt putting too much pressure on young children? Yes ballet is a athletic art. As good as the girls are they all could do just as well at a studio like the one I mentioned, if not, long term better. One of the girls ( maybe two.) may consider concentrating on gymnastics, rythmIc gymnastics, circ soli or something else. All perfectly good athletic arts. Chloe is going to get some ballet training. Hopefully has a good future and to move on to a healthier environment. Off the show and on the stage and maybe a filmed ballet. There are enough good dance studios , just have to research them before committing. Teachers need to be age appropriate. Respectful, firm as needed. And knowledgable. Patience is key. I am more familiar with lessons, performance and a supportive environment. Very different mind set that competitive dance. There is a little competition but ultimately support among , mom, dads , teachers and students. Cathy and Abby are of that short term competition mind set. Not the long term accumulative performance supportive style that I am familiar with.
I feel sad seeing two women who call themselves dance teachers treat children the way they do. And the moms who put Thier children in that situation. I know a great local dance teacher here who has graduated much better dancers than the Abby lee dancers. Most of the dancers who competed got good placing. Though the majority rather just perform and do the annual nutcracker. The girls at this school get high complements when they branch out. Guess what this teacher never treated her students the way Abby and Cathy do. She had dance know how, performance experience, compassion, firmness as needed, respect and kindness. Folks there are teachers like that and the results are more long term. She knows not to abuse nor burn out the dancers. She thinks in terms of long term and what benifited the child's future. Abby and Cathy are short term result type teachers. Like any sport short term gain long term harm. Plus the dances and costumes are for 20 year old dancers. Maybe late teen earliest.
Is Vivi even Cathy and her husband's biological child? I see absolutely no genetic similarities at all! Not to mention, the kid said herself that her mother wants her to dance more than she does. She could be amazing and even more successful at something else, and will never know, because mom wanted to relive her glory days! I don't want Cathy just to go. I want her to randomly burst into flames. I have my opinions about Abby and the Dance Moms, but nothing compared to my hatred for Cathy!

I am so happy for Chloe she won 1st place and she won the Joffery Scholarship I did not see Abby hugging all over Chloe for that Chloe should be on the TOP of that pyramid for season 3 and if Maddie is then Abby obviously has favorites. Cathy should not be put back on the show because she is a waste of time nobody cares about her all she does is talk about how nice she is her daughter is a horrible dancer and all she does is run across the stage so it will make it look like all the other girls who are like 16 look like their 12 and 13 like Abby's girls.and the only people who are the correct age is justice Kendall and vivi who is no comparison to so I don't know how she made Abby's team in the first place.Jill you are a studio hopper Kendall was great where she was at Abbys, Abby taught Kendall you just opened your mouth to much that is why she was on probation so much for so long idiot.
'Dance Moms' is a breath of fresh air in a sea of modern Reality TV - except for the 'bad' smell that comes from the direction of Candy Apples.
The dancers are amazingly exceptional - I have had the pleasure of coaching children for 20 years - synchronized swimming and dance - and there are few that can achieve the excellence these 'tiny dancers' have achieved. They obviously have benefited from strong parental support and great coaching - all of which has cost a great deal of money and time commitment.
The show lets us have a brief glimpse of the actual coaching - and Abby is great. A good coach knows what can produce an excellent performance - regardless what the orthodoxy of the method - and Abby's method has a proven track record . Educators of the general populations do not coach; they teach children how to learn - a completely different set of skills.
I have great sympathy for the athletes/dancers of Candy Apples - this pseudo-coach, regardless of the number of years teaching, is doing a disservice to her charges - Cathy is showing them how to cheat; be proud of it; how to perform substandard; and be proud of it, and to not know the difference (the parents are responsible for this one). Taylor was the lucky one - she got a chance to she her coach respond to her personal distress - my child would have been made to resigned the next day with a pending law suit for the balance of tuition paid.
On a happier tone, I live in Ontario and have not had the pleasure of the 'Dance Moms Miami'
- according to the general opinion. I look forward to seeing these fabulous dancers - congrats Chloe and Maddie - have wonderful Summer Internship at the Joffrey - it may change your life! They may want to become Prima Ballerinas! I hope not yet - Abbey has lots to still teach you and your have so much more wonderful dancing to perform. Brava!!!!!
Just a quick summary note - I got to see the Rosie show and saw some of the real interactions - unfortunately, Cathy still did not impress, despite her explanations to Vivie about what was happening - Oh, and about Vivie, contrary to her Mother/Coach's opinion, she needs basic dance classes to improve her poise and body core control and improve toe-point and leg extentions if her mother intends her to not humiliate herself on stage. (Cute is not cute after baby fat is gone!)
All the best and lets hope the producers may actually care about what we love about the show!!

Unfortunately, my heart goes out to Abby...she has taught her girls in the same fashion as any sport. She is tough, she teaches professional behavior and you can see it in the girls. People that say Abby should go cry by herself at home at a pillow....I'm sure she has many times. She is not stupid when she says that to her students, she is teaching strength and just as she had a break down on this last episode, she knows her girls will as well.
As far as favoritism regarding Maddie. I see a couple of possibilities. Maybe Maddie reminds Abby of someone or maybe even of herself in some way. Maybe Maddie forgetting her piece was the icing on the cake for Abby, this lady lives for dance and REALLY wants the best for her girls. She had already been dealing with things prior to this.
Cathy, I so can't stand you on the show, you certainly have ulterior motives, it's sickening to watch. Kendel's mother is an opportunist, probably saw the season before with sickening apples and wanted her daughter seen so bad she made a deal with the devil. Kendel dancing with that 'dance studio' was completely planned and intentional by BOTH Cathy and Kendel's mom.
Abby come back, I think you take your dance so seriously, you just had enough. I also think the majority of people who watch the show can see what is really going on here. You are tough, but you are not mean. You are tough because you are teaching the girls the reality of making it big. And just to point it out, we all saw just how professional that ballet studio man was, no nonsense (in the middle of a dance lesson because of all the chaos in the locker room). Abby is no different, we just see it and also see the crazy dance mom's. ABBY is teaching the REALITY of the future for some of these girls. And what they will be is PROFESSIONAL!!!

I'm a ten yr old boy who loves this show! I watch with my mom. I think candy apples suck, & there dancers are too ugly & old! I hope this isn't the end of the show because I hate the dance moms miami show... Chloe's my favorite! Kathy acts like a annoying 4th grade girl at my school, she needs to grow up already!!!

Copying Chloe's routines time and time again is more than undignified, its desperate and shows she can't be original enough to think of a dance with different music and theme to beat the others fair and square.
I cheer every time Chloe perseveres and in a way it shows that playing honest beats playing dirty. The only type of apple Cathy is, is one that is rotten to its core. Also Cathy needs to stop using her daughter as a prop because she has potential, but standing around while dancers flounce around her is a total waste of her talent.

Cathy behaves like a 2 year old. I'd be embarrassed as hell if I had a mom at her studio and watched the way she behaved and the things she said. Her poor daughter has a HORRIBLE role model in her own mother. Just plain sad.
I read some of these comments and I think some of you are just as bad as Abby. It shouldnt matter who is cute or who is not cute they are all children. She is their dance teacher and to pay attention to one child over others is not what a teacher is meant to do. She is to work to give every dancer at her studio the instructing they seek. She should feel for all her kids but you can see obviously she doesn't. Take the moms out of the equation for a moment and realize that those little girls have to constantly be berating for any mistake that is not how you teach. You also don't cry for one child when the week before a different child had the same experience and all that was said were negative comments while still bringing up another child who had the same experience a few weeks before. This time around it was waterworks and hugs and pep talks...where was that in incidents prior? Is this really okay? It doesn't matter if Abby was crying earlier she didn't save her tears for her pillow which would have been the decent thing to do for those other little girls she cares so blantly little for. Those girls can see that and while a teacher is to pour confidence into her pupils I think she only creates resentment and sadness for most of her team. They will continue to feel that arent worth her time. If Abby wants to put all her eggs in one basket that is fine but she shouldn't be running a studio. Also I would love to see some of you guys have to deal with a teacher that clearly gave one child the most attention and maybe even love over your child. Could you even imagine your child's 2nd grade teacher doing such a thing? This child is a natural at math these kids aren't so this child deserves my attention more? Oh one day so in so will get to Harvard these other bottom feeders arent worth my time? Instead of so in so is going to get to Harvard, it is clear but I want all my kids to get there and I will give them the support, knowledge and confidence to do so. From what I can see she has the knowledge part down perhaps she should work on the rest. Those moms who are upset have a right to be. They seem to be the only cheerleaders for the unfavored girls. So layoff them. I honestly hope the adults on the show see their behavior and then decide to get they're shit together... Abby. And FYI Cathy isn't worth the time. I fast forward through her parts.

At first I thought it was a favoritism thing towards Maddie, who is a beautiful dance, but after rethinking of the episode, she was an emotional wreck before Maddie's freeze. Sometimes I wish I could shake Abby when she's being critical cause it seems so mean but Cathy is the Devil!!
The moms are so crazy sometimes but I was sooo glad when Jill left...she was 10 times more annoying and immature than the others. She is a perfect fit at the Candy Apples with the Devil. Poor Kendall cause I think she had great potential at the Abby Lee Miller Company. She just needed to work her way up.

I would say that cathy is the worst person in the entire world. When she gloated about how shebwon by one point, i thought i was going to die. Sure kendall is a great dancer but as kelly said no comparison to maddie or chloe on the first episode. but vivi is horrible. I am not sure if she even wants to dance. I think that Maddie is a better dancer than Chloe, and has a prettier face. Chloe has more of an anorexic, lanky, dancer's body. I guess thats why she got selected to the Joffrey instead of Maddie. I wonder if Melissa is going to stop making dance the center of Maddies existence now? Nia's mom is way too invested in Nia's dancing life. I think that she needs to encourage Nia to get some other hobbies, or interests.

cathy is aweful. yes abby favors maddie, we see that, but she truly cares about the well being and success of her dancer at every competition. All cathy cares about is stomping on abby. of course cathy won by one point...she has much older dancers and sticky her daughter in their so they can compete at the same level as abby. And seriously! How did Vivi even get on the team. cathy just has her stand there, in every routine...she is a cute little girl, but is she really the dance instructors daughter? shes terrible, but also favored. seh could obviously never ever get a spot anywhere else. there is NO comparison between her and mackenzie. Can anyone tell me who makes the earrings the girls wear to practice? They are similar to some Sabika pieces, which Holly has worn, but I can not seem to find the earrings. As far as the show goes, Cathy has to be embarrassed to have been a role model for these young girls and acting so immature.

Abby is hard on the kids because she knows what they can do and she is pushing them. However sometimes she pushes to much. Abbie could be more encouraging and understanding of their age. But I would want my kids with Abbie before Cathy.

Joffery outburst started by Cathy and egged on by Cathy embarrassed Abby. Then Cathy in her dressing room to push Abby again because they one by 1 point pushed Abby to the limit. This may be a lesson for Abby that she may be pushing her girls to far. However Cathy new what buttons to push and did it. Just like Satan. Abby had a point. My heart goes out for Abby.
The mom's assumed Abby was crying for Maddie when Abby was crying before Maddie's dance. Then Abby was sitting listening to Maddie yell, Abby is going to be mad. This was hurting Abby more and more. I wanted to comfort Abby. But the mom's made Abby even more. They assumed it was an example of Abby's favorite. Abby pushed Maddie more and may looks like she is favoring Maddie, when she is see more potential in Maddie and wants to develop it.
I loved the show to see the girls talent but I hated to hear the put down, Cathy how she wasn't there for her girls but to use them to get Abby. Abby is to harsh at times but she is more of a Christian and recognized Cathy for who she is.
Lets go back to Joffery. Abby tried to stop the bickering. But Cathy kept it going.
I hope Abby tries again but apologies for being to harsh. Remembers the girls ages and prays before each girl and before each competition. Abby pyramid is O.K But say the strong points and the things to work on. Don't make it out as criticism but constructive criticism. That what her intentens are but they don't always come out that way.
May God show Abby the way and help Cathy to let go of her resentment towards Cathy.

I watch this show for the girls. The mom's need to grow up. They are like middle school mean girls. Abby is just plain nuts. She has only the dance school, probably never had a date as she is fat and nasty acting. I'm fat too, but she has such a nasty disposition. I love the girls, all of them. They seem close to each other, support each other, never have a mean thing to say. Mom's, learn from your daughters!!!!!! As for Nia's mom, I truly wonder about her. She is so against her daughter doing ethnic dances I keep thinking she is ashamed of being black!!!! Why?????? I'm not black, but I can't see any shame in it. Anyone with any intelligence learned long ago that color doesn't matter. It is what is inside that counts. I am so sick of racisim. Again, moms, while I know that some of your attitudes are "for the show", I truly wish you would all take lessons from your daughters. They are truly the only mature people on the show!!!!
Can't stand Christi, her ugly pointy face, the scowls, the demeanor, the nastiness, and how she never shuts up!!! yak yak yak! She is one ugly mother. It amazes me, however, that she can have such a nice daughter. I can't understand how the kids are so nice when the mothers are such nasty wenches and have to guess it's because Abby keeps them in line, commands hard work and respect. I think Abbey goes over board letting you stay there to watch. You are trying to live your dreams through your daughters. Kristi is the worst mother of the group you talk about other people all the time. Thank goodness your daughter has a better personality then yours. You ladies need to let Abbey and the girls work together without out all the mothers drama!!
There is already a lot of great comments here. That Cathy is a piece of work! I was so stunned & completely saddened by the stunts she's pulled this season. Especially when tonight she comes in abbeys girls dressing room to gloat over winning by 1 stinking point! All the Abby girls are beautiful girls & dancers! Yes sometimes Abby is too hard on them & can be unfair like showing favoritism. I know those girls see it. Not to mention the moms making it very clearly known, but I think I'd be upset too. All kids love to be praised!! Like when Chloe got the scholarship & won 1st place she so should've gotten waaaay more attention from Abby. And I'm sure she knows that in her heart. Although we don't know what happened off camera or on the cutting room floor. They show us only what they want. Overall, Cathy is an evil witch who needs to fly away on her broom stick, I so hope to see Abby & all her girls for season 3. No Cathy!!!!!!! And congratulations to. Chloe!!!! You are spectacular!!! Maddie you too were great as always. You will both go far in life with dance or whatever you want because if your passion & drive. All the others are also wonderful beautiful dancers & I look forward to watching you all dance every week. I even set my dvr. Hope to see u all again....except Cathy! Please producers she's like nails on a chalkboard!

Yall sound ridiculous it doesnt matter who dances better they are all a team they dont dance as a group cause they're not giving equal treatment I totally agree with the mothers confronting Abbey its about time she was dead wrong and her favoritism showed so what ur group number didnt win chloe solo won she also got the scholarship to the jeoffry school Abbey didnt say congrats or nothing why because it wasnt maddie Abbey aught to be ashamed of herself she doesnt know how to treat children cause she not a mother they turning maddie into a spoiled stuck up princess and thats what happens when she fails an epic breakdown the kid is only 9yrs old they putting entirely to much pressure on these kids! And Cathy is pathetic get a life her kids is damn near grown going up against those little kids
It so obvious that this show has preplanned objectives and contrived situations. Cathy is kept around to create the conflict a show needs to elicit emotions from the audience--we need to root for the good guy and boo the bad guy. This 'reality' show is really show biz-the moms had to audition for this show and producers chose the most outspoken. Have u noticed that Cathys moms are always quiet? If this were truly real there would not be such angst-abbys moms rant weekly about horrible Abby but bring their children back every day. This show is big bucks for them and they do what they're told. The only thing real are the judges at the competition.
A few thoughts... The mothers of The Abbey Group are shameful! That's right - shameful! Your girls are as good and have gotton as good as they are because Abbey plays the "bad guy" and allows you to continue to play the hero who comforts your child- AS IT SHOULD BE! FACE IT! Madie is talented, You would be an idiot not see it and a horrible person not to admit it. Chloe too is very talented, in a whole other direction and if her evil mother does not ruin it for her than Chloe will be someone also we are watching on stage, Neia (sp), (and as petty as you all have shown you are despite your education, let me apologize now, as I most likely spelled her name wrong) is most improved! Do you think she got there without Abbey's way of doing things- if so, then take her to that witch Cathy and see how far she makes it. Abbey's heart broke for Maddie because Maddie has done solo's, threesomes, duos FOREVER! She lives and breathes dance and therefore it was heartbreaking! Yes, it was sad when it happened to Chloe, but Chloe was not "nervous breakdown over it" which was GREAT!.......NO sympathy for Neia, because they let her go back out and she placed third so in my opinion her mother is a complete idiot for even opening big mouth tonight! Chloe is more well rounded than Maddie, meaning Dance is natural to Chloe to, but not her identity and that is heathy... Maddie is ALL dance- it is her calling.
The reason your girls STILL cant dance as a GROUP is because YOU mothers cant support as a GROUP! and Kristi SHUT YOUR MOUTH= you dont take up for any other child but your own so STOP saying you do!
I hear whats her name- Brooke and Paige mom, say week after week how long she and her kids have been there-hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm News flash- if thats the case, then this is a hobbey for them and just a way for you to be on TV!...So what are you complaining about!
I think Abbey should have a new policy- have a "meeting for 15 minutes before each practice with the girls and moms to relay info and areas your child needs to work on and then YOU MOMS LEAVE till practice is over!!!!! and if you want Abbey to spend more one on one time with your daughter than PAY HER FOR PRIVATE LESSONS!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS to CHLOE for her acceptance to Joffrey! HOW DARE YOU GROWN WOMEN TAKE AWAY FROM CHLOE and her achievements tonight so you coul,d take the opportunity to KICK Abbey while she was down! It should not have been about Abbey it should have been about Chloe and YOU ALL showed your true colors! NOT one of you mothers aside from 3 seconds from her own mother; hugged and congratulated her and if any of them did I can guarantee it was not till after Abbey had left and it was a "second thought" to them!
The show needs to DUMP that trailor trash Cathy... If she has 300 students and only hasd three (pretty good) dancers then ................SHE SUCKS AND SHE KNOWS IT!!!!!! and if her sweet daughter is not playing baseball then she is a HORRIBLE mom! Her daughter said right from the beginning....she does not want to dance, she likes baseball... HELLO......THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU, CATHY, YOU WITCH!!!!
It is truly pathetic that Cathy and the candy apples are even featured on this show. Her daughter never dances in the group routines and those girls that she has are very odd looking and it's awkward to watch them together. ESP with that boy thrown in there. I feel horrible for Kendall. She is the only good thing about candy apples. It's a shame she couldn't dance with Abby's girls. Her mother is what ruined that. All in all I absolutely love the show. And I will continue to watch every episode to come. (hoping that there is another season) just hope that the producers get smart and say good bye to Cathy. She is just a straight up bully and is teaching her students that it is okay to mock and taunt your competitors.
Cathy from Rotten Apples is as classless as it gets, tactless and tasteless as one can get. I feel sorry for her when she's featured in snippets still riding on the coattails of Abby Lee Miller. Does she really think her chubby lil daughter who stumbles her way through rehearsals can actually dance?? Really?? Or does she think her giant over-aged mismatched giraffes of students are at age with Cathy's 12 and under kids?
I think she gloats and boasts a lot, but if she was such a good dance teacher even better than Abby as she claims...she wouldn't be caught stealing over an over Abby's routine, music, and even costume. I think its pathetic that she's getting her 15 minutes of fame on someone else's behalf. Pathetic Rotten Apples!
Cathy aren't you really embarassed at you lack of tact? and your jr hi mean queen attitude? I love this show..even with Abby's football coaching,,,but when cathy comes on i want to turn it off.. she is the epitome of what is wrong with this society
