Stupid article. As others mentioned, it's irrelevant whether or not we think he is the best quarterback in the NFL. The point is, he thinks he is, which is the mentality at which many athletes play. As a former athlete, if I got down on myself I didn't play well. I had to think of myself as better than the other players, whether or not I actually was, and it makes a difference.
Does the LA Times thinks it's the best paper in journalism? I certainly don't.

you completely portrayed his comments out of context,which is shoddy journalism aimed at gathering attention with sensational quotes. read his comments again ,put them into proper context and have a minute amount of professionalism. you are correct in assuming lobbing bombs will gather more attention,which i assume was your editors intention.-Dan Q

Im a huge Ravens fan in Bmore...and NOBODY thinks Flacco is the best in the NFL. But I think you take his comment too literally. I understand his mentality & I'm thrilled to have Joe leading us to the playoffs every year...he has won more games & more postseason games than any other QB in NFL history in the first 4 years of their career!!! ...and hey SteelerNation...the crip isn't the guy who got toasted to beat you up in the Burgh last year...nor was he the half ass o-line that let us sack him 7x to start the season. Squeezers are "old, slow & done...". Deal with it!!!

He stated the obvious. He is saying that in his mind he believes he is the best. I work in the tech sector and although there are some geniuses in this field, I "know" that I am as good if not better then they are too. It is just the way of the "Alpha" male mentality.
