I'm so totally enjoying the whole story, it's great just the way it is. It's important to develop the characters so that the scenes can be fully appreciated. I think that you are doing a very good job with that aspect. You keep writing and I'll keep reading!!! :)
I don't think you have too much text or too many pictures, to be honest I'm not too sure what to say.. I was going to vote that I wouldn't mind more mature themes, but then I thought that I also don't mind if it stays as it is. Plus the relationship between Doug and Seb turned into a very mature topic towards the end I thought, so unless you mean sex specifically it's not like you didn't already have some in there.
I sometimes think that some chapters take a little while to get to the point, but the best stories do. I remember reading the fantastic books by Karen Miller and getting bored for several chapters at a time sometimes, but for story purposes this can't necessarily be avoided so I don't think you should change anything about that. It's all good if it helps us understand your characters better :)
