Brian Shaw needs to be considered fully now that he's retired. 15 wsm appearances in 15 yrs. He was one title short of tying Mariusz it is true, but all the while battling the shorter careers of Eddie Hall, Hafthor Bjornsson, Zadrunas Savickas, and Tom Stoltman as of late. Brian Shaw's longevity is unmatched. Not to mention his impact on the sport itself. Brian Shaw became an ambassador for Strongmen later in his career, kept regular blogs on YouTube, and really carried the torch on social media. Many today can't imagine the sport without Shaw over the last decade and rightfully so. Everybody can feel the shift in the wind now that he has retired, it feels like the end of an era.

Doug Hepburn is my relative from my paternal mother’s side (relative of my dad’s mom, who’s maiden name was Hepburn). Would have been cool to meet him in person. Thankful I have pretty good strength and stamina, maybe it’s related ;)

Drugs have been very much a part of strength sports since after WWII. All sides were developing them. When it comes to true natural strength, I don't think anyone in the last 100yrs could challenge Louis Cyr.

I'm Robert Zuver eldest son of Bob Zuver owner of the World's Famous Zuver's Muscle Hall Of Fame Gym in California. Paul Anderson was and will always be the Worlds Strongest Man Ever. In his day they didn't have the help they have now. No big gyms, No medical help, No Drugs, No Trainers, he did everything on his own. Without Paul none of the followers today would have had anything to try for. With all respect for the great strong men of today Paul was the man. He is still a king amoung men.
