Ok, for all the ignorant spoiled Americans (especially you Bridget Walsh and Hey Now) listen up. There is no such thing as a bed to sleep in, free education, free medical care, oh yeah, free food and a about great dictatorship, that's called opression. Obama has opened up all boarders for anyone to go to Cuba. I guess you need a lesson on what's really going on around the world. Did you ever wonder why Cubans , Venezuelans and lets not forget the middle east countries escape their country, well I don't hear of anyone leaving the US to go live there. Hmmmmm,, think about. If you are so unhappy in the Great USA. Move, you have the freedom to leave. So go, now! Don't try to change the greatest country of all, my parents came to this country in a small boat just 90 miles away in a shark invested ocean with no food for FREEDOM.

Ozzie can say what he pleases. That's what differentiates the USA from the Chavez controlled Venezuela and Castro's blood thirsty dictatorship. When did free speech, embodied in our constitution, become a crime in the USA?

Guillen has a history of embracing comunist dictators, including Chevez and Castro, and his disengenuous apology was put forth, not as a sincere gesture, but as a necessity to appease those that pay his salary.

We are so free in this country that we can not express a political opinion without being punished by a right wing employer? We are so free that we can not travel to an island 90 miles from our shore where the rest of the world sun bathes and enjoys good music?

The 99% need to take a look at Cuba where Castro at least made sure every Cuban had a bed to sleep in, food to eat, free healthcare and free education ( excellent education according to the UN). What's wrong with the politicians here? Maybe there are some lessons to be learned from the rest of the world.

Being in the good ol USA entitles him to freedom of speech, and therefore this is not a legal matter. However, being a Marlin, he has a moral obligation not only to the Marlins, but the community that supports his salary. He should be punished by the Marlins to give a clear message to its fans that this type of behavior will not be supported. The Marlins have every right to do whatever they need to protect their interests.

He said what he thinks and in the country that's OK. Isn't the punishment of people for speaking out against Fidel Castro and his politics one of the biggest complaints against his regime by his adversaries? In this country, its a way of life.

God save me from idiots with initiative! I hope that he realizes that if he'd have said something like that in La Habana, about Bush, he'd have been arrested.

Ozzie has always been a loud mouth. I love the (Florida) Marlins. But I fear we can expect much of the same from Ozzie. And hope his idiocy does not tarnish SoFla's Baseball team. La muerte de Castro!

Freedom of speech, so no punishment, but was not a wise statement.

The Truth ! hurts.. should we forgive him just because he's old n sick?

Ozzie or should he have said the exact opposite:

"He's been a wonderful dictator! he should close his borders again so, his people can go back to escaping on home made rafts drifting 90 miles of open ocean while hoping to land on the US before starving or drowning... hopefully his brother Raul continues this beautiful legacy for another 50 yrs... for most Cubans, it's just been the most wonderful memories... Viva Fidel!"

I voted no for obvious reasons..however a good geography lesson could be helpful..

As a Cuban-American, that escaped Castro's repression in a boat, I respect his right to speak freely.
First Amendment of our great Constitution. However, as long as he is associated with the Marlins, neither I nor my wife will ever attend any Marlins game.

Freedom of speech is protected by the 1st Amendment!!! Like Flamingo says, stupidity isn't against the law.
