I agree with Mike,,, I was molested when I was young by a step father and when my sister got molested she got him arrested and into court, when court was going on I saw a lot of females young and older that were molested by him. due to a lot uf us older ones now were told that nothing could be done since it's been over 10 years that the molestation took part, my sister was the only 1 that was able to do something about it and he ends up getting probation I think and had to stay from children under 15 unless supervised,, to me that was wrong big time as now that I'm 54 years old and it still bothers me and has screwed me up so much that I wasn't able to excel in live... when sauve got sentenced for 110 years is extreme as nobody should be thinking of suicide because of nothing to live for, I believe that he should have been sentenced to death instead of the tax dollars feeds and houses them till they die,, waste of money in which could be spent on counselling or better living conditions for the inmates that will be able to live their lives outside of prison.. yes he deserved to go to jail for the conversations of sex and nudity with a child, but never meeting the child so there's no contact in person what so ever, plus if a cop is gonna pose as a child to catch these people are basically committing a crime of the same sort of for getting the person to meet with them and actually doing it, that is definitely entrapment which the police always do in order to get more tax money towards what ever they need it for.... yes canada does have to upgrade their sentences for child predators and start giving high jail time plus mandatory counseling and if counseling doesn't work then he never gets out and put into the population wards with everyone else as the other inmates will give them a death penalty...

He drove the school bus where my 2 children went to school. He was a creep then.Dirty looking and .smoked constanly. He wobbled all around on his broken ankle. He lived 2 streets over from me.He married a really young girl who had his child. He didn,t pay his bills then.A creep is a creep and he truly was one.He got what was coming to him.All I hope is that he never touched his own daughter.Like he touched other girls.I,m sure he had been doing that for a long time before he got caught.I saw him every day for over 5 years.

The Windsor Star failed to state all the facts about this case. First of all the Windsor Police were aware of his actions long before his arrest and were aware of Alan driving school buses so tell me why they allowed him to continue driving buses and being in contact with children knowing who heartly that he was a risk to children. Why would you allow an individual to commit a crime 22 times before getting him. Do you allow a rapist or murderer to commit a crime 22 times and then say oh its time to get this person. Its totally wrong what he did and he deserves to be punished but lets look at the lack of regard that our Police department and Virginia had on our children. Virginia knew he drove school buses for 6 months and when Windsor was contacted by Virginia why did they not stop this from occcurring over and over and over again. The system failed.
I have no faith in the justice system after hearing these facts.
Shame on the Windsor Police and the Virginia Sherriff office for allowing him to commit this crime 22 times.

This crime is utterly disgusting. He deserves that sentence 100%. I have a 13 year old cousin and it just disgusts me how Adults could think of a child that way.

you deserve what your getting, it's time Canada got tougher laws like this..... In my opinion child predators should be tortured to death. The children they hurt suffer for the rest of their lives dealing with it while the predator moves on carefree. The only reason this pig is crying the blues is because he was caught.

So just talking dirty to a child does not warrant jail time and a cop posing as a child is entrapment?? Mike I'm sorry but I totally disagree with your perspective. Any man/woman that would talk to a child like that real or otherwise deserves jail time. As a parent I would argue that a life sentence is appropriate jail time for any child offender.

Although i agree he should see jail time, i believe the sentence to be a bit harsh. If they really wanted to get him they could have let him meet up with the girl, then in my opinion you dug your own grave. I think the punishment does not fit the crime. Also if it was the undercover who provoked the meeting, that should be entrapment and illegal in it's own right. If it was him who made the idea to meet up i think that 20 years would get the point across. His life would still be over regardless, forcing a man to commit suicide because he now has nothing to live for, and has been written off by society, is inhumane regardless of what it is; To me this is not the answer. Atleast if you feel the need to remove him from society for ever, give him the death penalty and put him out of his misery, society at ease and save the taxpayers money. No point in housing inmates until they die.

Maybe Canada shoud have stronger jail time for people who pray on young children there might not be so much of it going on
