I worked 2 days a week for the first 5 years of my sons life. They were crazy days but I really loved being with him for 5 days a week then having 2 days as a grown up. The problem with 2 days a week was there was no prospect of doing work that was a bit more senior. So I upped it to 3 days a week and found this really opened the door for more senior working options. However, picking the kids up from school only 2 days a week is a real problem in terms of juggling homework, after school activities and play dates.
