If the team were to be sold you can be sure that they will be looking to move to the city that gives the best offer, then what does Seattle to with Safco Field? Unless there is an agreement to stay what's stopping the new owners from leaving?
Also to the person who said the majority owner in Japan never has showed up to see a game, think about it he did Seattle a favor by buying it, remember back years ago when the team was ready to move? He put up the money so the team could stay. Just like Paul Allen did when the Seahawks were packed and ready to leave.

Win or lose give the owners of these teams some credit for keeping the teams IN Seattle.
Unlike Howard Schultz and the Sonics.

To sell or not to sell? Whatever's best for the team is fine with me, but the Mariners need to stay in Seattle!!! We already lost the Sonics; we don't need to lose another sports team!!

The M's ownership is not competitve sizing themselves up against the AL West teams. What does it take to win the division to compete in the post season? They lack leadership and senior players that want to win and churn it into team chemisty.

Hello Paul Allen or Bill Gates

I totally agree that they should be sold.

Year after year the same old stuff.
I am tired of it and it appears the fans are staying away for the same reason.

I am also tired of all the fluff about rebuilding, the kids are doing great and all that BS the Manager continually dwells on.
I also believe the Manager is NOT the Manager to build a winner as well as the present dismal minority owners and the big Honcho himself. What a joke.

Sell them, and get them out of the State of Washington, they don't deserve a nice stadium like Safeco when they don't know how to play baseball and win.

The Mariners have not been competitive for many years and have a habit of losing/getting rid of most players that are any good. New ownership/management would bring the hope for change. Something Seattle deserves and has shown it appreciates from past years when the team is winning and attendance is good. I also wanted to mention that raising the ticket price (again) this year while fielding a mediocre team isn't going to solve the attendance/revenue problem.

I have said many many times, sell the team to Mark Cuban, who alspo owns a basketball team. He has the money, guts , and brains to make this team into a world searies contentor. The major owner from Japan has never been to Seattle to see the team play, and recently when the team played in Tokyo Japan he never showed up for the two games! What does this say about him. He could care less about the Mainers. It is good write off for him!. The timeing is right, sell the team now and get rid of the poor management! Please send this e-mail to Mark Cuban also! I go way back to the Seattle Rainiers, I know baseball! Sorry for my spelling.

And be sure the new ownership gets rid of Chuck and Howard. Get some people in there that want to win and not just make money.

Yes, agree to sell to more favorable ownership--BUT-- please keep them in Seattle!!!!
