I keep doing it because it gets laughs sometimes.
The entire third bit about black guys not having kids being a rare commodity got an applause break! But it hits and misses. The biggest mistake there was not including that bit, but I've realized that the racist humor is starting to hit more and more. I guess I'm just learning how to deliver it, or being (slowly) more judicious about what I use.
I mean, I got another applause break the time before for saying that white women sandwich black guys in a bar like a reverse oreo cookie!

You've some great lines man. It's just that you seem to be delivering the jokes to the wrong crowd or something.

Alas, a young comedian's job is to create material that appeals to a broad spectrum of people. Then, he/she can become more and more liberal with their content when they've created a following. That's what I've seen, anyway.

Yup, the somalian bit really sucked the life out of the set for sure. The good thing is, I have a new bit (Captain planet shoes) and a short bit (look like grimace) that I can use to replace the weaker bits in my five-minute set.
