To be honest I don't see either of them playing the lead. Mrs james might prefere R.P to play him though as she got this geniuse idea of a book from twilight and this is so much more...... I just hope we won't be dissapointed with the film as we were with the twilight films.

im sorry but Ian is the one i see staring in the movie. and whoever said that Kristen should be in it has no judge of actors. seriously she has the same voice same facial expressions in every fricken movie. believe me twilight is hard enough to deal with. let the adults play the adults in the film. plus Ian has eyes that that look the way i imagine ctgs looking while im reading. so damn dreamy.

Ian all the way. After seeing him in The Vampire Diaries, Wake and Rules of Attraction, he is the better choice. Plus he is freakin Hawt!!!!! Such a versatile actor.

Robert Pattinson and Ian Somberhalder are both good looking, but neither is hot enough to play Christian Grey. Christian Grey has to be someone who's so good looking it's almost hard to look at him. I say Christian needs to be portrayed by a lesser known, American actor who's never played a vampire on TV or in the movies. How about Eric Winter for Christian and Emmy Rossum for Ana?

Hands down Ian. I love Robert Patterson in Twilight and I know the book was inspired by the love story. However, if you watch the Vampire Diaries and watch Ian switch between good and evil there is no one sexier than him. Love Robert - but hands down Ian has my vote. Even Elena who plays on there would make a great Anastasia.
