... what's next for Nash?

I think Nash is a great fit for the Heat! If Lebron and Wade are penetrating the lane the way they should that should open up so much space because Nash is a knock down shooter! If he's in the corner what do you want, a 3 in the corner or an easy 2 from Wade or Lebron. Also don't forget, Bosh is a 18 and 8 guy in this league, so he's getting way more easy 13-18 footers and Nash will make him look impossible to guard. Also Chalmers and Cole are no slouches with their shooting touches! With Udonis, Miller, and Battier coming off the bench, this team will get better with a Nash spreading the floor. All they need is a big guy clogging the lane and their straight! They would go at least 10 deep! I'm a Celtics fan, but damn, if the Heat get Nash, can we say championships for 2 years and finals appearances every year?

Being a big fan fo Nash, I'd like him to get a well-deserved ring. To achieve this, he 'd have to go to a (very)winning team which ALSO need a first-rate PG.
If we look at the current top ranks of NBA, Miami is the one needing him most (together with a decent center).
OKC is also needing a good PG (Westbrook is not a PG, he's a SG and, besides, Nash's trustworthyness would be a welcome contrast to Westbrook's hysteria). Main problem: OKC will have salary cap problems (they already will have problems in re-signining Harden).
NY already have both a young (Lin) and an old (Davis) PG. Besides, they have a "slight" problem called "Stoudemire", his compatibility with Anthony and, most of all, his huge contract.
Nets won't be a title contender until they will build up a really good roster. To get Howard they must retain D.Williams. If they keep Deron, they won't need Nash (and probably will have to spend their money on other positions.)
Orlando is imploding and losing Howard (his fault), so no title contender.
Boston need to fill all positions but the PG (to be honest, they ought to think to it too. And they know it.)

I believe if Brooklyn could get Dwight Howard then steve nash will be licking his fingers & would join Brooklyn cause i believe their would be too many STARS on the heat roster and everyone would want to put a BULLS-EYE on their back cause it has already happening to them. i beleive the Heat should concentrate on their D structure not to get more scoring power so i think he should go to a team thats going to compete against teams like the heat.
Where i would love to see Steve Nash go is Toronto i believe Toronto need with all the power they have too chase him down Right now cause there is no point getting him when he is readdy to retire with a year or to left in him, lets face it he wont want the million dollar contract he wants to win and lets face it toronto could really do something with him on the roster cause their roster is looking very very good their only missing guidence to the right direction and i believe he could bring that to them trust me he will if went to the RAPTORS.

I do believe that either steve nash or jason terry will be joining the miami heat next year. Face it he wants a ring, he will probably not get one going to dallas which is absolutely absurd. However jk is still moving distributing doing things a pure point guard should do. Nash has already said he would not mind playing in a miami uniform next year.If the miami upstairs is as smart as i think they are they are definitely going to be waiving/ releasing a few players. Chalmers will stay jones will stay of course the big 3 and batti will stay. Cole, Haslem, Howard, and definitely mike miller will probably be looking for new squads trust me. Miami knows if they want to make a move for a championship era they need a true pg and a true bigman. Joel Anthony is a grinder is which is why I see him staying but believe me under the table they are trying to get nash, terry, and I have heard rumors about dwight. I highly doubt that he will come to Miami because he wants money more than he wants a ring and the heat simply do not have enough for him but I am almost 100 percent certain that while robin starts to wind down and batman starts to take over he will have some help. Dont get me wrong wade is good but Lebron is the Heat Franchise as we have seen on multiple occasions this year. NASH TO MIAMI

im just wondering when will steve nash go back home to canada because i believe that if he joins the ranks at toronto he could really attract other players their too soo make your decision really quick so they could promote nash

Miami would be the perfect destination for Steve Nash. They need a point guard and he never seems to be getting old enough for playing ball. Lebron can focus more on improving his post game next year with Nash running the point.

Im hoping that steve comes to somewere close to north carolina cause ima die hard steve nash fan cause i love the game of basketball!! I even Play like him! pass first, shoot 2nd, drive 3rd!!! but i will support the man were ever he goes but he will most likely go to where he can win a championship!

Steve will obviously joining Miami. they have the best chance at a title in the next 2-3 years because of all the star power they have. Don't worry about the cap space because steve is willing to sign a 2 yr 2 mill contract if he wins a title. I predict him joining the heat and winning one or two titles. Oh and I'm a major suns fan and want the best for Nash, and the best option is to join the heat!

I dont know what you are all talking about, but Steve will be going back to DALLAS!! A Dirk and Nash reunion would really wet my appetite for great Basketball. I think Dallas would be a perfect fit for Nash with Kidd really getting injury prone, and them having a complete lack of creativity. When Barea came into the came he really gave the Mav's that spark and I think Nash would give them back that guy who can run around and find the best pass and that will give Dirk more open looks.

well thinking and thinking the best chance of getting a ring is the Bulls, Heat and Boston in the East. however I think Boston need a new big man before they have a chance. All the other teams in the east have years to get a ring. I am a fan of Sixers after my dear Bulls. So I would love Steve to join the Bulls as second PG.
Though the best chance of getting on a team that has chances for a ring is West, then we are talking Lakers, Grizzlies, OKC.
Steve! wait for the playoffs be over and then pick.

love Steve Nash and I will support him anywhere he goes.... but please, anywhere miami!!

  • UJazz - 12 years ago

As much as i would like steve nash to come to the jazz, i dont see it happening. i could see him joining the knicks or the magic. maybe team back up with amare, its a shame dantoni wouldnt be there. i think he would be a great fit for the magic. he could turn that franchise around.

  • Mario - 12 years ago

new york, the nets, the jazz,pistons,76sers,and maybey the clippers really now if you know anything about basketball none of those teams are contenders i mean sure NYK have melo but lets face it wat chace do they stand at coming out of the east no way they beat both chicagoand miami in a 7 game series as for the nets, the jazz, pistons they most def out of the question they cant win ball games and have no real offfensive threat and the 76ers are balling ill give them that buty they are a young team still trying to find theirselves in this league and Steve doesnt have that many years left... finally yourthe clippers with CP3 and Mr. Big Shot they dont need anymore help at the point guard position and they still cant win a championship wit the lakers, thunder, and spurs out leading the west.

  • hector gonzalez - 12 years ago

man steve nash has teams waiting for him to sign with them but steve has to think where will i win an nba tittle and miami no they have to many allstars on a team and the cap space are they gonna clear it even more who are they going to waive chalmers haslem thats the options just their bench so steve nash should go to a good team now im a lakers fan and i would love him to go to la but lets be realistic steve nash best option are new york, the nets, the jazz,pistons,76sers,and maybey the clippers
