    Yes, it is creepy. As is everything else connected with what you so aptly call the Taj Mahigh. That new Newton North high school is a half-billion dollar monument to the utter corruption of Newton's political process.

    The message, to children and everyone else, which has been typical of Newton for decades, is that everything is about money money money and greedy grasping finanical interests. Sell yourself to the highest bidder in all circumstances. Which is precisely in keeping with how Newton's officials sold off half its schools to developers, and then when they had painted themselves into a corner, and found they had to redo Newton North, they immediately went out to find the MOST expensive architect they could find to construct the most expensive high school in the state. And then had the nerve to expect the state to reimburse most of the costs.

    Wrong lessons to be teaching to our kids indeed.
