Should Palm Beach County enact a half-cent transportation tax?

We need a new tax like a whole in the head. The school tax of half a cent was recently appealed a year and a half ago. Now Palm Beach County wants another half cent sale tax. Taxes keep rising and wages stay the same. Taxation without representation!!!

Palm Beach County charges the maximum tax allowed by law, $.12 PER GALLON of gas.
    Look it up.

We already pay 6 cents per gallon tax for roads in Palm Beach County. That makes are fuel costs some of the highest in the state. Odd. No mention of that by the BCC.

I agree with Carlos and disagree with David. The Tax might be higher in neighboring counties but it is still not as expensive to live in those counties as to Palm Beach. Also we're not talking about those counties and this effects more people than the small towns outside Palm Beach. It's expensive enough and the government/county/state need to learn how to go about everyday life on the budget they have and not having the capablility of increasing expenses on behalf of others whenever they feel the need to do so. I drive over 50 miles a day just within Palm Beach County alone and I think the roads are fine. It's all politics. STOP SPENDING MY MONEY

They took 70 million from roads already and gave it to Palm Tran.
Palm Beach County has to live within it's means like the rest of us.

Sure places near the county like Hendry, Okeechobee, and glades pay 7 percent and more in gas while some drive over to PBC to work. Due to the lack of work around the lake
