Do you think pitbulls are too dangerous to keep as pets?

I used to be one of those people who thought pit bulls were bad dogs. I'm now the proud owner of one. They are a docile breed that just want to please their owner. In the wrong hands, they are instructed to do bad things in the name of pleasing their owner. All breeds must be trained and know who is in charge. Owners also must be trained to handle their dogs.

it is not the breed that is bad it is the people who raise them that make them bad. You could train a labrador to be mean or any other gentle breed but fear runs rampant

I have owned 2 pit bull mixes for many years and have never had such sweet loving dogs. It's not the dogs, it's the owners. People need to stop judging the dogs and judge the owners.

I believe it's all about how they're raised by the owners ,we adopted one (of 8) from a shelter as a puppy. She has lived with a 7lb Chihuahua and a cat for a year now, she will possibly lick you to death but that's about it, by accident she stepped on the little dog and felt so bad she would run up and hug you for forgiveness . She had a chance to attack a ground hog in our yard, but she ran up to it put her head down and wagged her tail (hoping it would play with her)..If PEOPLE are going to fight or abuse them, then they are going to be dangerous as with any animal that is mistreated

I'm so tired of the poor animals getting a bad rap because they have idiots for owners. The BAD owners of these dogs are the inherent risk..not the dogs. Our family has 3 pitbulls and they are the most loving animal you could ever imagine.
