Sounds to me like the little girl may have just been bragging at school and "said" she tanned in the salon with mommy. In reality the little girl was probably only sitting in a chair watching mommy tan. Obvieously a poor choice to bring the kid with or else no misunderstanding may have occured. On another note I can imagine that even sitting in the room next to a tanning bed with its intense lighting would cause vision damage if the child were in fact looking into the lights.
The accused does in my opinion display poor judgement just by the appearance of her skin that looks badly damaged and "over cooked". I choose to believe she did not intentionally make a poor choice concerning her daughter. I also know how children WILL make up storys and exaggerate storys, after all the new generation is being brought up in a Dramatistic world
