Come on do we have to continue to make the unexceptable the norm? This will mess with this childs mind for life. Can you imagine the image this boy (turned man) will have running over and over in his mind as he tries to carry on a relationship with is mother? He will have the thought of her breast in his mouth and I am sure a copy of this mag she will save back for him. Bottom line? If they have teeth then give them a sippy cup to suck on!

Typical of a liberal magazine, anthing goes as long as it makes money or offend Christians beliefs.

In my opinion the cover went too far. How long one breastfeeds is a personal decision. Personally, I do not think children benefit from breastfeeding past the age of 2, but parents need to make the decision themselves. They need to ask themselves if the reason they continue to breastfeed is really for the benefit of their child, or if it is separation anxiety on their part. The magazine cover was developed to incite and stir up unnecessary controversy. Time magazine has lost my respect.

i love it! mothers now a days spend 2-3 hours a day with their NEWBORNS! children deserve to have the best, and breastfeeding is the right choice! doctors reccomend breastfeeding until 1 1/2 and up, it only becomes unnessecary after the age of 5, regardless of when teeth come in. To every breastfeeding, stay-at-home, co-sleeping, play all day moms out there GO YOU!

A 3 yr. old should not be breastfeeding. I draw the age limit at 1 yr.

I don't buy Time, nor do I read it but I will be buying this issue. People getting so worked up over a parents choice to do what's healthiest for her child. They don't get so worked up over every celebrity that's half dressed on the coves every month

I sure hope that was a photo shop cover! That kid looks older than 3! No problem w/ breastfeeding....until they have teeth. Once a child can chew that's it. If you are doing it for health benefits, USE A PUMP & PUT IT IN A CUP!

I nursed my son till he was 2....I have no issues with breastfeeding in public or past a year and don't think anyone should. BUUUT, Does it really need to be the cover page for a magazine??? GEEEZZ.
